I fell asleep on the couch last night while Hubby watched something or other. I awoke a little after 2 am when the weekly test thing came blaring through the television.
I got up to turn it off and headed for bed. I was just scooting my children over so I could fit in the bed when my bedroom lit up red and blue.
I ran to the window and yanked the blinds open...sure enough, three police cars were floating past my house. I yelled to my husband to wake up because something was going on in our neighborhood. There are never cops back here, there is no need! So to see three, then four, five...was interesting!
He jumped out of bed and threw on his clothes and walked outside. After making sure his truck was okay parked where it was, he jumped in the car and went to investigate.
Seems someone was running from the cops in a routine traffic stop for speeding and decided to take our neighborhood as an avenue to explore. While they did catch the speeder, they had some other officers looking around because they'd seen the driver toss something out the window.
My husband knew a couple of the officers so he was able to find out what was going on, and told them that his wife really enjoyed the light show.
I'm glad all was okay, but I have to admit, the first thought that went through my head was, "What'd Baylor do NOW?"
That's weird. There was a high speed chase here last night as well. Although, the interstate is fairly close to my house and that's where it happened. Wow! So did they find the thing that was tossed?
I honestly have no idea! I hope!!
