Title: Drugs Online

Parents beware.  I've been buying xanax online for about 2 years now just because it's so much cheaper than getting from a doctor, and all you need is a credit card.  But buyer beware, once you've ordered, you're in their system and they will automatically charge your card for refills which sometimes never come.  I had no choice but to cancel my card and get a new one.  But I don't see how this is still allowed to go on.  I get atleast 8-10 calls a day from different pharmacies trying to sell me two, three, or however many drugs I want.  It's ridiculous and I don't see why our law-hungy government hasn't been more proactive on this issue.

Are you saying that you don't even need a prescription?

Nope, you request a medicine then just fill out a little questionaire which can easily be lied on to get what you need and then they run your card.  I had a prescription but buying online was so much cheaper.  I don't recommend it though because they often automatically refill and charge your card without you knowing and sooner than they should be.  I've had to refuse packages and go through a bunch of beauricratic bullshit to get charges erased.  Another problem is many pharmacies operate out of places that aren't in U.S. law jurisdiction, so they can screw you over if they want to.  But for the first year or so I had no complaints about service.

How is it cheaper when they dont take insurance?

Probably cheaper for those of us who do not have prescription coverage. I, being self employed, don't have the luxury of $10 copays for my prescriptions and I buy on average $350 worth of prescriptions every month for my husband. I have looked at them online and they are much cheaper, but the ones I've found require a prescription and my husband's doctor wont write prescriptions for online medication (of course.) Anyway, while I was looking up his meds, we looked for Xanax and other medication of a similar nature and never did find any. I did find Concerta, but of course my son takes Strattera.

There are discount drug programs out there, Daisy...I used to get some of my consumers qualified for them if they didn't have prescription coverage & hadn't been approved for social security disability/medicaid/medicare. Don't have the sites bookmarked -- but most of them just require a doctor's signature & they usually get shipped to the doc's office.

No expense out of his pocket...

Really...I'd like to find out more info on that.

I'll poke around & see if I can get some info for you! I've been out of the loop for 2 years, so they may not exist anymore or there may be an income guideline.

I'll let you know!

Hopefully not. I'd like to save about $300 a month!

Have you looked at this site?: http://www.peoples-law.org/health/charity-care/special_drug.htm

It appears that most programs are primarily targeted for those with limited income -- but there seems to be some for uninsured or underinsured, as well.

If I remember correctly, there was an application process for each separate medication & the doctor's office had to fill out a section, as well (e.g. medical necessity & credentialled signature).

Check it out!

I don't know.  Some people say the pills are old and are just oversupply that needs to be sold and others say it's because they go thru FDA testing.  Bottom line is they work just as well.

Xanax is one of the easiest to find.  I can literally give you a hundred websites selling generic and brand name.  Finding stuff like Strattera and adderall is tougher though.

And oh how reality loves to slap me in the face.  I check my credit card statement online and my available credit has decreased by $207 while I was sleeping.

Without a doubt.  I've finally had it.  This is the second time this has happened and now I have to cancel my card again so it won't keep happening.  My online pill ordering days are over.

If you can get a card with a $200 limit it wouldn't be a problem because at one place I ordered from you can go online once every month and order 90 2mg xanax for $198.00.  The automatic refills cost $207 so they couldn't charge it.  But again that's just for anti-anxiety meds.

As a side note, the programs I referred to earlier do not operate in the same manner. They are solely for people without insurance, underinsurance, or income-limited and work directly through your doctor's office.

That's what I'm looking for. As long as they don't want to say we make too much, I'll be thrilled!

Xanax is a controlled substance. That is a felony that could result in prison time. Sounds like the FDA needs to put the "Crack down" on internet drug sites.

I'm sure they will eventually unless money somehow dictates otherwise.

My initial thought is...at least they have a physical address to track the buyer down (unless a P.O. box is permitted, but not typically), unlike the oodles of drugs sold on the street.

I saw a site, while I was playing online, where a doc would write a script for any med. A person didn't need there own doc. I have no idea how much it costs. I also had a friend who got a script online for a pain pill and it did not look like the any pain pills I have ever seen , but she said they worked.
I think there are steps being taken to stop this, but it will be a long time. The webb is a big big place and if they are close to being caught.. they close down shop and start again.
Good luck on getting the right script for the right price. But proceed with caution. They are lots of crooks on line. I would try the links that people have used and it worked for them.
