I have to say, I am loving it!!
The sky is gray and ominous, the wind is steady with an occasional winter-like howl, the temps are dropping. This is my kind of weather.
It has always been said that I'm a little "odd," and my penchant for adverse weather has nearly gotten me a 72 hour reservation at the nearby stress center for evaluation and hold. But I can't help it. I'm not happy when the sun is out with perfect blue skies. That's boring. Give me some wind, give me some rain, give me gray skies, give me thunder, lightning and hail, and I'm happier than a bunch of lice in a pubic bush. Give me watches, warnings, or advisories, and I'm beside myself with glee.
So, yes, I am relishing the thought of long cotton pants, college football sweatshirt, my "blankie" and some heavy fuzzy socks. Yesssssssssss!
Cocoa anyone?
And the temperature had dropped 3 degrees since my initial post. I was viewing www.weather.com when I was inspired to start this thread, and it was 60 degrees then. It is 57 now. Falling down to around 33 over night. Whoo hoo!
Currently 50 degrees (with a "feels like 46.")

I know what you mean, tallulah! It's quite bizarre to listen to the news -- something about a "Winter Weather Warning" for the Northern states...huh?...what?...it hit 87 degrees here today!
49 Degrees
Gives my husband something to look forward to...buying a snow blower!
LOL! We're getting a snowplow blade for our riding mower. My husband is a man on a mission.
It'd be great if we could find a riding lawn mower with a snow-blower attachment!
Yeah, that's what I mean. I just said it all strange.
No you didn't...they make plows for the front of the mower...but husband wants something that throws it across the driveway. *shrug* I think it's two different things and I'm not sure if the latter exists.
I am not sure, but I've seen some people get an arc going.

Shhhhh! Keep it down--my hubby is looking for something that throws the cat across the driveway
Would he like to have another just for practice? ;D
Now THAT sounds like FUN!
MewwROOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!
OK Sunny and Daisy.....You two are just WRONG!!!! Bad Girls--BAAAD! :-\
My cats are used to flying. Even the kitten. My sons play with them like little airplanes.
By the way...Hmm, went back up to 50 degrees.

:D
Ooh it is windy here! Aaron called earlier from St Louis and said he'd driven through some crazy wind. Its here! I'll be surprised if the power doesn't flicker a bit. The trees are dancing out there!
48 Degrees and dropping!
45!
Well I hope you are happy, it was a frigid 30 this morning when I left for work. Too damn cold to ride the motorcycle and I had to take the truck. The wife's car had frost all over it, but my truck was frost free since it was under the tree. But don't worry, like a good husband I warned her of the frost so she would have time to clean her windows before she left for work.
My the temp in my truck said it was 34 out but it feels darn cold, especially the wind. I'm soooo happy that I have a garage!!!!
Hahaha you are so sweet. This is when I'm so glad I have a garage!
It was 32 degrees on the nose when I got up this morning. Brrrrrrrr!
Yes and its cold in here. Pilot light is out in the office. I can't get the cover off. Brrr.
Hmmm, should I turn on my heater? LOLOL No wonder I'm freezing my butt off in my house!!!!
Yeah, you might do that! LOL

You guys seeing those white blobs??
Ok, I turned her on. I can hear her down stairs practically coughing!!! When I went to flip it on, I read the temp and it was like 68 degrees but I'm really cold, I'm thinking the gauge is off. I'll just take the chill out of the air.

YEP! And it looks to be heading right towards NW PA after it dumps on you!
It's not Thanksgiving, it CAN'T snow before Thanksgiving!!!
In NW PA, it's going down to 29 tonight with possibility of snow showers.
48 degrees tomorrow, 30 tomorrow night, with chance of snow showers again.

That's simply amazing...I don't remember too many snow showers before Halloween.
I had the joy of seeing my first few snowflakes of the season today at work! :D :smitten:
It did snow? Hell, I must have been napping on the couch when that happened.
I didn't see it either, but I'm farther south.
Brrrr I'm cold... :(
Tiny flurries, in Fishers.
Hub drove through quite a bit up in Michigan late last night.
While I love weather, I'm not much of a fan of never ending rain when it means I will be riding wet. I mean, normally I'd be thrilled for a radar full of green and yellow spanning 3 states with no breaks. But not today. :( :-[

I take it tapping on the door panel didn't work. :(
Haven't tried it yet. I'm going to go back out to the garage in a bit and try it. I'm just trying to unwind. My jaws are locked and I'm getting a headache. Grr. Long day.
aww so sorry.
So far, nothing. My husband asked his friend the other day to look at it...he will check it out on Saturday I guess...Hopefully he can fix it soon or I'm heading down your way, Cache! I just didn't know he'd asked his buddy to take a look.
That's ok. With gas prices the way they are, I would understand getting it fixed closer to home.
Hubby would be happy to do it for you. I just hope the window motor itself doesn't cost that much. My brother bought a new one and it cost almost $100 I think. :o I'm sure you could probably get a decent one at a salvage yard or something though.
That's the goal...check salvage yards. I don't know if I should go ahead and find one and buy it "just in case" or what!!
Great day temperature wise yesterday with a combination of grey skies and sun later on...Daisy, aren't we supposed to be heading into the colder weather now?
Good morning, Cookie! Yep, cooler temps are headed our way. Today looks like its going to be rainy and only 51 degrees. Looks like its going to barely break into the 60s Saturday and play around in the 40s the rest of the week. Yummy!

I'm starting to not resist this entry into winter as much as I used to do. I think it is exciting, too, Daisy to feel the force of nature during these times.....
Good morning back at you!
Glad you're not resisting...its gonna get interesting the next few days!
Tomorrow: High 47/Low 33 Chance of Showers
Monday: High 44/Low 32 Mostly Cloudy
Heck we wont see 50 again till Friday!
A Daisy weather kind of day today in Anderson!!! Cold, windy and the clouds...upper light gray and the swirling stream of darker ones moving faster...even the birds gathered in large flocks all day and flew from trees to trees, diving and turning abruptly and it was exhilirating and fun!!!!! Charlie so far loves it....but when he's in ...he's starting to like the idea of being under a blankie, too!!!
WOOOO HOOOOOO, Daisy, here come your weather!!!!!
Blankies are the bomb! I am a big fan of blankets.
Yes I definitely love this weather. And it certainly fits my mood...gray and sullen. I guess we are to have flurries tonight and in the morning??
"Indian Summer" is yet to come. Or not. . .
Not...I think you missed it....sorry...should call a do-over....
Daisy...need to get you outta the dump, hun...what can we all do?
It's snowing Daisy!!!!
Yes it is indeed snowing this morning. . .
No snow here...but it sure is chilly this morning! 48 degrees but "feels like" 42. That's pretty darn cold.
Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.
Since we've got no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! :spooked:
I rode the motorcycle to work yesterday since it was a balmy 35 out. Had to get all my layers on and felt like Randy, the little brother on Christmas Story. At least I could put my arms down.
Today it was 30, so I drove th truck with the heater blasting. I am ready for spring!
One thing about weather.........
We'll pretty much have some.

Unfortunately not much. But thanks for the offer :)
I missed the snow. I was sleeping...Having dreams about shoplifting jeans from Diesel jeans. Jeans and orange sweaters. I don't get it. LOL
Hahaha 442 could put his arms down. That made me chuckle!
Yeah, well at first I thought "layers" was "lawyers" and I was trying to figure out WTF he was trying to do! :spooked:
Strapping on lawyers for warmth? I guess they are full of hot air...
 ;D
If you want it to snow, wear your PJs inside out and backwards. It works really and the kids will get out of school. LOL
One year, in Maryland, it was pretty much a definite that it was going to snow hard. It looked like it, felt like it and the weather guy had been following the front for days. I had Girl Scouts that night, brownies (1-3 grades) and someone mentioned the snow. I told them to do that (seriously I've heard it somewhere else) and they'd get lots of snow and no school the next day. It happened. The next meeting they were hoping all around me saying, "it worked MsMojo! it worked" LMAO I should feel guilty for messing with the minds of children, but I bet it didn't take them long to figure out I was full of it...just the next time they wanted snow and it didn't work. LOL
hahaha thats great! Sounds fun. I'm always looking for a reason to put my pj's back on!
Shhhhhhhhh--not so loud!! The lawyers will become infatuated with you and then you'll have turmoil on your hands! LOL!! ;D
