"You know he's been a disaster for our country," Carter said.

I enjoyed one of the reader comments which stated, "You can slam the messenger all day long, but is the message wrong?"

So, you agree with Carter that Cheney is a disaster?

Because if Carter is the pot and Cheney is the kettle and they're both the same....well....you know....

No, not even close....Carter WAS a disaster.....and for him to say something like this cracks me up actually...He is just trying to get the monkey off of his back....if he can convince everybody that there was a worse administration than his......

So, if you don't agree, why did you use the pot/kettle comparison?  That analogy is used when the two subjects are accepted to be the same.  Especially by the person making the observation.

Actually, calling Cheney a "disaster" is being kind to the SOB.

I'd take Cheney any day over Carter.......but for Carter to say Cheney is a disaster, is the pot calling the kettle black..

Not much into politics, but Carter the man ???

Since 1999 I have had the opportunity to work with and talk with Mr. Carter each year in the Habitat for Humanity Program. Politically he might have been a disaster but as a person he is hard to beat. Next spring we will be building 38 more homes here in LaGrange. come on down and join us. If you spend a little time with him I think you will come away with a deep respect and admiration for his character.
