This afternoon at 1:30, a tornado hit the town where I work. We didn't know there were warnings out. It got real dark outside, and before we knew it we had side slant rain, and winds in excess of 100 mph. I was at work at the time. It rained soo hard, that our dining room flooded. We didn't get any damage. . It tore the roof off, destroyed the marquee, and the big spinning chicken bucket on top of the marquee, is nowhere to be found. LMAO!!! The devastation in town was wide spread. A lot of trees and power lines are down. Most side streets are impassible. Walmart is closed due to the power outage. We heard a man was trapped in his car, because a power pole crashed down on it. A garage roof flew off ,and landed on a brand new pick up, and totaled it. I was worried about my home when I left town. I was fearful for my outside cats. I braced myself for the worst. When I got home, I discovered we got absolutely nothing, not even rain. I was soo relieved. I feel bad for the people in town, there's major clean up to do. I've had quite a day, and feel very fortunate. I think we're supposed to have more severe weather this evening. I hope my luck holds.
OMG HOW SCARY!
I hope no one was hurt!
Glad things were ok for you when you got home. Those tornadoes sure can do some strange things. Hope no one was hurt.

It was totally crazy. Last I heard there were a few minor injuries. The power is out in town. Last they said, there were 21,000 people without power. I feel soo lucky, because a town 10 minutes away from my house, got hit real hard.

I really thought I wouldn't have a home, to come home to. I feel extremely lucky. Last year a tornado, touch down in my backyard, and destroyed several houses a few miles away. We lucked out on that one too.
That would be soooo scary. I don't like storms anyway and get extremely nervous when one goes through but I've been lucky and never actually been in a tornado although they've gone through town not far from where I've lived a few times.
They found the marqee chicken bucket!!! It crashed down on somebodys garage LMAO!!! A lot of people are still without power. We were soo busy that I had to work over 2 hours. TGIF
