Title: Chaos in words
Post by: IYT on October 09, 2006, 09:16:23 AM
"Passing Dogma"

We sat in his chambers
the night had become morning
I was naked and salty
having lost my purity
but I was now holy

He is the father
And at his request
I called him daddy
And at his request
I begged for more
And at his request
My lips will only open for him

This is my will
This is your job
he would say
and one day
when I am gone
the child will be yours
and I will give it to you

"A Forgotten State of Mind"

I live in a county
under raised flags of red, white, and blue
and have been taught
of a glorious past
of courage, unity, and a common dream
that has long been forgotten
through a tunnel of deceptions

and people have died for these lies
and the flag
which is just a symbol
once magnificent
now soiled with spilt blood
the flag is redder now
when blue should be the color of choice

and eventually the flag
with its glorious past,
its tainted present,
and its fevered future
will one day be black
probably soaked with oil
to justify the red we spilt
at the expense of our freedom
and the lives of our enemies
and the love of our friends

?A New God?

A rare smile appeared on my face today
I had a conversation
with a Mormon
and I won

He came in my house
with thoughts of love
mediocrity and structure
all within a book or two

and he left my abode
with an open pineal gland
and a new perspective
on life and love

because I showed him a God
A God he didn?t know existed
The God of true freedom
The God of true love

We walked to our car:  cigarettes, alcohol, and other things in hand.  We starred at the roads, empty and beautiful.  Nothing but the colors of sound surrounded us in a dramatic euphoria emphasized by the taste of blue.  And finally we were there.  A long journey completed with the help of our abstract ideas.  UFO?s passed overhead and lighted our paths.  We spoke to them through vision and everything suddenly made sense.  I reached for a cigarette, hated but desired, and faded into this cleansed world of sun and moon, stars and sky, and the sounds of a million birds singing through the trees.  I looked over my shoulder to see my companions laughing at me and themselves...and I laughed back.  Walking in circles I realized that we had been poisoned, and it must come out.  I raced to the car, frantic and horrified.  Everyone was in shock as I sped away into the empty, beautiful roads.  Away from danger, moving towards death.  A couple hours later my friends found me, awake, alone, and crying.  I had a revelation.  My imagination was dead and life had passed me by while everyone else was still giggling.  I reached for a last ill-fated attempt to grasp the euphoria I knew only hours before, but it was gone.  So I drank...and drank some more.  I lay on cold asphalt with the feeling of a million terrified eyes looking upon me.  It finally kicked in, and I rose to my feet, wiped away my tears, and walked into the dark night.  No more UFO?s, no more friends, just myself, my mind, and memories of a world once not so cold.

"The Randy Goat Priest (A Tribute to Bill Hicks)"

Look at those little milky-white thighs
That little hairless, quivering rabbit nostril
I bet he?ll grow up to be a sinner
He needs to be saved
A simple erection to give him direction
And he?ll be a holy boy
And I?ll do the work of the Lord

Thank you God
For the little boy I?m about to receive
Thank you God
For the millions of people I?m about to deceive
Thank you God
For giving me the key to keep
Thank you God
For filling the world with sheep

"A Free Land Inside My Head"

as the liquid of the moment moves down my spine
my fears and temptations fall far behind
I finally caught up with a place so serene
filled with purple, blue, and green
and all the colors that make me smile
and the feelings I haven?t felt for a while
spinning around my head for hours
releasing potent internal powers

The air turned cold as the sun crept below the surface.  You reached for your flashlight and discovered you were in the desert.  Naked and vulnerable, you shivered your way to the nearest dune and looked to the sky.  It was empty: no clouds, no stars, no moon.  You wondered if God had died.  Sorrow and confusion consumed you.  Where were your pills when you needed them?  Where was your father, the Almighty?  These thoughts circled your head inside and out.  You began walking in circles when a pain in your mind shattered the glass you called fantasy.  And then the worst thing of all happened...reality.  In all its depressing and violent ways, you were now a victim, hungover and hungry in the middle of the cold, barren desert.  The only comfort in life now was the sand beneath your feet, so you laid down to rest your mind.  You now knew that you were lost in an endless eternity.  You had died and to top it off, you couldn't look away from your decaying corpse lying motionless in the sand below.  "At least I'm ascending," you thought as your vessel disappeared into the desert never to be seen again.  The next day you awoke.  The desert was a garden, and your body was the seed.
