Everybody has a favorite TV show /or/ shows. Whether it was a comedy, a mystery, a drama, a sci fi, /or/ a game show. Some of my favorites are old ones and some of them are newer ones. I was very fond of "Good Times", "The Love Boat", "Soap", and "TwinPeaks" What are some of your favorites?
A lot of my favorites come from the 70's & 80's...when tv was more about entertainment & less about "reality". LOL! I also cherish shows that I remember watching with my mom or my grandparents...the memories are probably what I hold near & dear to my heart more than the actual plot of the show.
The Carol Burnett Show
Sonny & Cher
Alice
Sanford & Son
Mama's Family
The Jefferson's
Columbo
Then...with my g-parents:
Wheel of Fortune
Johnny Carson's Tonight Show (why did they allow me to stay up so late?)
The Price is Right

Those are all great shows. I miss the days, when a show had a story line. Some of the reality shows aren't too bad. It seems like reality shows have completely taken over the air waves. Most of the time when I watch TV, I watch A&E, Biography, Discovery, and Court TV. I love crime shows.
I like the Shield (FX) and The Wire (HBO). I haven't watched 24 but someone told me that I'd love it. I want to go back, when I have time and capture a season on Demand.
My daughter and I have some favorites that we watch together, Sponge Bob, Hannah Montana, Suite life of Zack and Cody, Life with Derrick and Zoey101.
Any other TV time is split between Food Network, Animal planet, TLC, Discovery channel and my guilty pleasure is Lifetime. ;D

Unsolved Mysteries, Ghost Hunters, Flip this House (the one with the people from South Carolina), The Sopranos, The Apprentice, Big Brother, American Idol, The Cosby Show, Little House on the Prairie, Emeril Live, SNL, random shows from MTV

A distant cousin of mine was in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. She's from Minnesota. One night she left a party in the dead of winter, and froze into a solid block of ice. :spooked: And, she survived.

Although it is very, very rare...my current tv viewing is divided amongst the aforementioned...with a little
HGTV on the side.
I don't know if anybody watches this show or not, but I love "Ace of Cakes."
I love Ace of Cakes! I want one!

Isn't it cool. Some of those cakes are pretty elaborate. I love watching competitive cake decorating. I always hold my breath, when they carry the cakes to the table. I've seen several bust ups. I hate it when that happens LOL!!!! I never realized that they have cake competitions with big cash pay outs. I like that show "Unwrapped" too. Anything to do with food, and I'm there.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia--check it out!
I also like Eating on Asphalt with Alton Brown on the Food Network. It was fun when he and his cronies were cruising through LA and MS and freaking out on Sweet Tea--LOL
I have a friend here that wants me to make sweet tea. She's never had it! :spooked:

OMG you don't know what sweet tea is either? I just take for granted that everyone knows what it is...
It's brewed tea, which is sweetened and then chilled. Some people put the sugar straight into the hot tea and others melt the sugar and pour it into the tea. Either way, it's delicious. It's not the same thing as iced tea with sugar in it. Trust me.
Always take some of the hot tea and melt the sugar before putting it in. It helps to mix it throughout the tea and doesn't settle to the bottom.
You can also add sliced lemon or a sprig of fresh mint to it. That is fancy southern! haha

When I watch "Dexter" on Sunday nights, my panties burst into flames. :devil29:
I just saw where you can rent the first season of Dexter at Blockbuster. You can rent the first seasons of everything there! They even had the first three episodes to three new shows on NBC. Why would you rent that? You wouldn't have anything new to watch for three weeks!

The time is fast approaching. Merely, a few days until the new season of Dexter.

I'm still arguing with hubby about it......we will get the first 3 months for free for crying out loud! But he says it's dumb to pay extra for just one show.
He wants me to wait for the DVDs to come out

Now I feel stupid. When I make my tea I add the sugar to the tea while it's still hot. I've always just called it iced tea. :-[

No, I think it depends on where you are from. In the south, if you ask for "iced tea" you're more than likely going to get "sweet tea". However, in the northeast, if you asked for iced tea....it came w/out sugar and if you asked for sweet tea....they'd tell you the sugar is on the table...like that's the same. That's what I meant.

Well that explains it. I lived in Petersburg, Va. when I started making it myself. :-[
If you ask for tea in the South, they ask if you want sweet or unsweet. It's always assumed that you want Iced Tea and not a teabag with hot water
I liked Sliders.
