The live rabbit eating the Fruit Loops is adorable.   The dead one does look like Leather Face.  :spooked: Do you ever pet that rabbit? It looks pretty comfortable sitting there.

i raised his daddy... they (all 3 babies) are comfy with me.  (we set the dad free last summer, he was abandoned as a new born--we saved him)  he brought his female to our yard and she had the babies under the patio.  i have yet to pet them.  i am able to stand less than two feet from them and toss cereal directly to them.

That is soo sweet. Kudos to you for saving the Daddy. We raised an Opossum, a friend found in her driveway. She was probably 2 months old when we got her. We kept her for a month and a half, and released her in the timber behind our house. That was last year, and she still comes up on our deck and eats. We didn't handle her too much, because we knew we would never keep her, and we didn't want her to become real comfortable with humans. We worried she'd roam into town(2 miles away) and get lured by some psycho.  :spooked: After we released her, she would show up with 2 males, so we're hoping for babies one of these days. She was here just last night. A few nights ago we had 2 Raccoons, and a gigantic Opossum eating at the same time. It was very entertaining. The cats just sit there and stare at them. The Raccoons dip their paws in the water dish, after they eat something. They'll eat a corn curl (they love those) and run over and dip their paws in the water dish, this ritual continues the entire time they're eating. It takes them forever to get done. It is comical to watch, I just die laughing.

aww... that is so cute.

we have raccoons... they walk on upside down on the porch ceiling...

rabbits don't last long around here.  it's not a super busy street, but at times it's busy enough.  and there are woods across the street... so the rabbits (and squirrels) like to run back and forth from the woods and no one seems to care to let the cross.

vxn, I so hate insects.. BUT ... I love your dragonfly pix. Maybe insects in art rather than on my arm are better? LOL

I like all of your newest pictures. Great work!

One time I accidentally hit a squirrel with the Corolla.  :spooked: I cried all the way home.    We don't have alot of small wildlife out here, because we have an abundance of cats. One time one of my cats, caught a baby rabbit, and brought it into the yard, it was still alive, so I fought him for it. It had a small puncture mark in the left shoulder region. It seemed OK, when I got home from work, it was eating and everything. I sat down at the computer, and set his box on the printer beside me. All of a sudden he went into convultions. So I sat and held him, because I knew he was going to die. I sang to him and  held him by my heart to comfort him. He went real fast, I don't think he made it 20 minutes. There is no worse hurt, than to hold a dying animal.
