While in Glasgow, I spotted a poster advertising a band called The Hoosiers. As there aren't many connotations for that name I was curious to check them out.
Apparently, they got the name after fooling the University of Indianapolis into giving them tryouts for soccer scholarships. U of I though the prospect of having two English footballers on the team was too hard to pass up. At the tryout, coaches soon learned they were terrible.
But the music is pretty good. "Worried about Ray" debuted at #17 on the UK pop charts based on downloads alone. Hopefully, I can pick up the CD in town tomorrow.
