This morning I got a rude awakening. I went outside to feed my cats,and I could hear one in the distance crying. I stood on the deck looking around, and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. All of a sudden my other cats went running down the driveway. It was one of my all black cats limping down the driveway. I looked and thought to myself,I am not seeing this. His left leg was gone except for 2 inches of exposed bone. I was soo shocked,I just stood there for about 30 seconds and then ran down the driveway, to look at him. OMG it was horrible. I took him in the house, and called my husband. He said take him somewhere and see if they can do anything for him. So I called my friend and told her he needed to be euthanized. She went off on me saying, just because he lost his leg he shouldn't be put to sleep. I told her I wasn't ready to deal with another special needs cat, so soon after Champ. So she proceeds to tell me, I should get rid of my other cats, if I don't want to take care of them. So the guilt trip worked and I took him to another vet. I was a half hour late to work. The vet said he had to be euthanized, because not only was his leg gone, but his intestines were coming out his abdomen. :spooked: I knew his leg was bad, but I couldn't see the underside of his belly. I didn't want to move him too much ,because he was in pain. So we had him put to sleep. It bothers me to think, how long he might have laid like that. We have a severe coyote problem out here, I don't know if he was attacked, or if he got caught in a trap? Anyway, I tired of my "friend" pulling ignorant crap like that. She knows my life revolves around my pets and I'd give up everything I own for them. So, I'm cuttin the bitch loose, who needs friends like that anyway. I could've used a little support from her,but every time something happens instead of support, she gives me grief and looks down her religious nose at me. Sorry, if I seem bitchy but I needed to vent LOL!!!!
