Title: Sick and Tired....
Post by: Henry Hawk on October 04, 2006, 01:07:13 PM
This is for the things that you are sidk and tired about....such as:

I just went to White Castles, and after waiting for about five minutes for the one customer ahead of me to have his order taken, I walked up to the cashier...he stared at me, not saying nothing...so I stared back...this went on for about 10 seconds, finallly he says ... "what cho want?"...Not, "May I take your order, Please?"

I gave him my order and paid him, he give me my change and walks away....no.."Thank You"......now, guys, I'm sick and tired of "kids" today not having enough human decency to have courtesy.....I can guarantee you, that if one of my kids acted the way this kid did, they would know immediatly NOT TO EVER ACT THAT WAY AGAIN....this kind of thing happens to me regulary at fast food establishments...how sad...and I'm for one, "sick and tired of it"

How bout you guys?

I'm also sick and tired of sitting in the privacy of my home, watch television, and when a commercial break come on, the sound goes up about 1000dB's..and makes it obnoxious until you find the remote and turn it back down...then turn it back up when the program resumes.....maybe a little nit picky for being sick and tired, by dang..

Yep, Hawk.

I'm tired of being waited on by imbeciles.

And I'm tired of commercials that try to drive home their messages by sheer volume. As if sound would make it true.

call your local cable provider and complain.  don't believe them when they say that they can't control it.  they can and do.

I'm sick & tired of the deli ladies at the local Walmart store.

I treat everyone with respect & understand that it's probably not the most desirable job in the world....but it's not MY fault, darn it!

Is there anything else I can get for you (said in a voice of disgust) -- sorry, I inconvenienced you. :-[

When all else fails and I don't want to pick up a book, I always check out TV Land.
It's just not better programs, but I tend to go back in my mind when my family would sit around talking and laughing together.
Ahh, sweet memories..........

Reality shows and COURT tv --- how many do they need to put on tv?

I'm with BEG...they don't make television like they used to.  :(

I'm sick of reality tv altogether! I watch Big Brother, but really not even that much anymore. I watched it this year only because of my mad crush on Dr. Will Kirby. Otherwise, I'd probably passed like I did on Season 6's shows.

The first ones are entertaining, and then by the time they finally start the real part of it all, I quit watching, but usually get sucked back in a few weeks later.

Pasta...You guys could work together on the weekends and prepare a few pans of lasagna, baked pasta, etc...Stuff you could freeze and pull out to cook for dinner. Plus, cooking with your spouse can be fun! I love it!

That would make way, way too much sense...if we are not out of controll and flying by the seat of our pants....actually that really is a great Idea....we need to start thinking that way....thanks, daisy... :)

That IS a great idea! But, if it involves too much planning ...they do sell frozen manicotti/stuffed shells/rigatoni  -- just throw your favorite jarred spaghetti sauce on & throw in the oven for 30 minutes! That's what I used to do when we were both working! A box of frozen garlic with cheese Texas Toast & you're ready to go.

Or have your kids each plan a meal night & put it on a calendar! I find it easier to plan a menu ahead of time...it really makes it easier to grocery shop & not buy too many things that aren't necessary!

Ohhh Sunny! Noooo! I can sometimes accept the frozen rigatoni, but at least make your own sauce! Its not hard and its soo much fun! We sometimes get a bottle of wine, pop it open, turn on some jazz or some Sinatra/Martin/Davis music and go bonkers in the kitchen. Pressing garlic is probably one of my favorite things to do in life. It smells so good and taking a big fat knife, turning it sideways and smashing my fist down on the side of the blade to squash the clove...ahh that's therapy right there.

I do like the idea of letting your kids add dinner ideas to the calendar. I'll try that someday, once the thrill of fish sticks and corndog bites wears off...

Okay, okay...I'll become domesticated ONE of these days! LOL! It'll hopefully come along with growing a garden & remodeling our diamond in the rough. And btw, we have a garlic press and it's great! Husband makes a mean Meatloaf & you can mostly smell the garlic while it's baking. YUM!

I have a garlic press too, I just smash them to get the peels off easier before they go in the press.
