Excellent Sunny! Congrats! 8)
Awsome!!!....  :yeah: :juggle2:
Thanks, Everyone!
My husband will be there in a couple hours snapping pictures for me...I imagine the leaves are all different colors.
Who's gonna rake 'em all?
Um, in my book I think that falls under "Honey do's"..yep...I'm sure it does.
Actually, that can be fun and with the girls? Get 'em a couple lil' rakes so they can share in the fun. Of course you'll have to make a big pile to jump in. LOL
It could be a family affair! But, probably not until next year...by the time we close, there'll be snow on the ground covering all of the leaves!
Thanks, Mojo!
Whoooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooooooo Sunny....Congrats..............Bet you did a happy dance!
Don't forget to share pictures with us. There is no place like home! :yeah:  :balloon2: :balloon2:
I will, FCM! He'll be home tomorrow & I'll upload as soon as I get them!
Thanks for sharing in my happiness. :smitten:
Congratulations Sunny!!! Florida's loss is Pennsylvania's gain!!

Looking at the pictures again, I just noticed I have a CLOTHESLINE in my back yard. *giggle*
I cant see the pic...
A clothesline?? I have great memories of line dried sheets as a child...does anyone use clotheslines anymore?
Well, that's a bummer, Gryphon. Wonder why you can't see it?
I've never used a clothesline...but, I may try it next year!
the little box tells me the photo has been moved or deleted from photobucket....??
So will you be changing your name to SunnyinPA?
Yeah, might wanna change that to ChillyinPA!!
I'll let you guys decide...my husband will say it should be RainyInPa! But, I like to be more optmistic!
what part of PA? If its anywhere near Pittsburgh, you better change it to FoggyinPA
A little more than an hour North of Pittsburgh, Gryphon. Or BlizzardInPa.
Congrats Sunny!!! Finally, home again, home again, joggity jog jog...that is just the best!!!!
Congrats!!!
Merci, Madame Parker!
I am beyond elated.
Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sunny!!!! What a great feeling, huh???????????????????????
I am so pleased for ya! But, i can't see the pix either.... is it the brick that we were talking about the other day????? The one with the concrete driveway and the red roof (i think)???????????
Am SOOOO excited for you!
You'll be a "neighbor" to West Virginia now!
Sure thing, LRHG! Good memory...it's the red-roof inn. Looks like we should be your neighbor by the end of October! I hope to be all settled in mid-November...just in time to stop down for Thanksgiving.
I'll have more photos after my husband comes home tomorrow night. I hope to get them up after my daughter's big birthday party on Sunday!
Well if I would have read this first, I wouldn't have asked the other questions.
Happy Birthday to our little Sunshine! :baloon3: :baloon3: :baloon3: :baloon3: :baloon3: :baloon3: :baloon3: How old?
No problem, FCM -- I don't mind questions.
She'll be 4...going on 16.
I hear that, give her a big hug from FCM!
Hugs here for the lil' one, sunny.
By the way, the sun is shining as we speak. (10:06 am)
YEAH! That means it only rained one out of six of the days husband was in PA! WOOHOO!
Yesterday was such an exhausting day...at the end of my daughter's party, we announced the "move" to our family. There appeared to be mixed emotions in the crowd.
Don't tell anyone, but I think we'll miss our neighbors the most. :-\ How often in life do you find the perfect neighbors? People who stay to themselves, but yet are there if you need them...and vice versa, aren't afraid to ask for something or to go golfing with the husband. Two beautiful children (twins) that are just a few months older than my daughter...great playmates...
I'm just thinking out loud...
If anyone's interested, I hope to get the pictures of the house posted to my photobucket today. He took 75 photos while he was in PA...think I'll spare you from posting them ALL.
Interested? Must you ask............I can't wait to see as many as you want to post.
I'm so glad the birthday party went well.
Thanks, my friend.
Here are some photos...can't figure out how to post it here.
http://www79.rockyou.com/show_my_gallery.php?instanceid=34259406
I can only see the front photo....very nice!
Sunny, that has so many nice built-ins....and the bathroom off of bedroom 1...too cool!!! That's really nice Sunny. Great yard!! I can hear the children laughing in there already!!!
Hmmm...wonder why Cookie can see it, but Gryphon cannot? I think RockYou.com uses FlashPlayer/Shockwave...not sure.
Thanks for the comments, you two...it has a ton of potential...will be husband's weekend project for a few years to come! LOL!
And once it's updated, our realtor said we could put it back on the market and make a healthy profit! That is, IF I want to move around that much.
Nice. When are you moving?
Oh, by the way, I can view the whole slide show.
Oh, good, FTW! I'm glad you can view it. Does the house look familiar to you?
We should be closing at the end of this month & husband will be up to prepare the house for the "Big Move" -- I hope to be in by the first week of November.
Are you going to bring the Welcome Wagon over?
Sunny it's wonderful!!!! Have you already picked your colors out for each room? Is that a garden plot out back?
I can already see you out back sitting under that tree reading while your clothes dry on the line.
Nol, the house does not look familiar, but that doesn't mean anything. Lots of parts of Meadville I've never been in.
What a great house, Sunny!! Looks like there's lots of room to spread out....what's the square footage?
Here's to years and years of happy memories just waiting to be made by you and your family!!
Thank you, SoccerMom...I become more & more excited by the day. Even the air smells different at 'home'. To answer your question, the house has 2500 sq.feet. It'll definitely make do for a few years.
And for those of you domesticated folks, I'll be tapping into your resources...the back yard has 2 pear trees, apple trees and oodles of Raspberry bushes. YUM!
Oh, and a garden plot -- I can't wait to try my hand at growing cucumbers and tomatoes!
Congrats Sunny!!!
][/color][/b]
Dang it! I Can't see it, says its set to private. I have a log in there, since I use that a lot for my MySpace page, and still wouldn't let me :(
Oh I see it now! Very nice. I love the wood trim!

And, hey, if you don't have much luck, plant zucchini. The plant that keeps on giving.
I had so many that nobody wanted any more. So I took some old Christmas wrappiing paper and wrapped them up in boxes. Drove to the Millcreek Mall, parked the car, and left it unlocked.
VOILA'!! Somebody stole all of them. Problem solved.
LOL that is the best!!!!
Congratulations Sunny, May there be many happy memories to come there.
Yeah!!!! Sunny's back home!!!

Thanks, CP, Pope & FTW...I will heed the good words and positive energy as we become both "Buyers" AND "Sellers"! The FL house is now officially on the market.
<fingers crossed>
We are hopeful it sells in the next 3 months...optimists that we are, double mortgages could hurt!
WOW! Moving to the great WHITE north--ha, ha! You will have to trade in the riding lawnmower for the riding snowblower! I am sooooooo jealous--so sick of the heat here in the land of 50--sure do miss the autumn and the changing of the leaves. Please take a pic of the first snowman you build and post it for me!
I'm with ya, sister! Where are you located in the great US?
I simply CAN'T wait to watch my girls play in the snow & make that snowman with them. Pictures WILL be posted, Tallulah!
And yes, husband is already pricing snowblowers!
It'll be so wonderful to go home...it feels like I've been on a REALLY long, extended vacation. You now how wonderful it is the first few days when you go to an exotic location...the smells are crisp, the room is inviting, the new corners to explore...but, after about the 3rd day you start to yearn your own bed, the towels dont' quite feel as soft, and you can't find a restaurant that quite compares to your favorite back home? And by the last day of vacation, you RUN to the airplane, train, bus, or car?
Well, that's what I have experienced...and it will be great to land.
How long have you been in Florida Sunny?
This is our 3rd hurricane season, Loc - moved down May of 2004. And you?
Got you beat. LOL! This is my 17th hurricane season. I moved to Florida in August of 1989.
Wow...I guess so! You haven't gotten 'homesick' huh?
Nope. And I have thin blood. I'm up in Washington, DC on business travel right now. It's 53 degrees outside and I'm freezing my arse off.
That's what wool sweaters & ski jackets are for!
Nothing better than cuddling up by a warm fire or snuggling with a fuzzy blanket...
...Only time you can do that down here is when you set the central air on 60. ;D

LOL!! Ain't that the truth! When is the move scheduled?
At this point, provided the rest of the deal goes as scheduled (e.g. title history comes back clear, etc.) - we are looking to close at the end of October & we'll make the big move a week or so after husband has painted the house we're buying!
Thanks for asking.
(hey, would you like a home away from it all? central FL -- convenient location )
Sorry Sunny, but I got to stick around Fort Lauderdale. I'll keep my eyes open for anyone wanting to relocate to the Central Florida area. Is your area an easy commute to job centers?
Job centers, such as....? We're an hour commute to Orlando (give or take with I-4 traffic) - an hour commute to Tampa - and an hour commute to Vero Beach. Not too bad.
It's also a quick drive to Lakeland which is a decent size city.
That's the thing I'll miss the most, being so close to the Gulf & Atlantic Coasts. But, there's always vacation.
Wow! I'm trying to visualize what area of the state that would be an hour drive to all 3 of those locations. An hour isn't too bad. Some of us in South Florida have an hour commute just becuase of the traffic around here.
Although the town doesn't show up on too many big maps, we are literally in the center of FL (where HWY27 and State Road 60 intersect).
Awesome map Sunny. That's a great visual, and it helps a lot. It does appear that you're right in the center of Florida. ;D
Good...I'm a very visual person.
My husband promised me that Hurricanes would NEVER affect us in the middle...until Charley, Frances, and Jeanne came along!
LOL!!! Yup, he sure fooled you.
That was a wicked season for you, too?
Charley was the worst...CatIII when it rolled by.
I'll take a blizzard any day.
Yeah, that was a bad year. Actually last year was the worst for us with Wilma.
Yes...I bet it was. :(
LOL.... thanks for the maps... i am a stong visual learner, too....
i think that as "skinny" as Fla. is, there is no safe place in a hurricane.
Heck, several years ago, Hugo even made it all the way in here to the Mountain State, and blew things about a bit... but I am surely with you... give me a blizzard any day!
And, in honor of your homecoming,Sunny, may this be a year full of them .... (sorry, Magistrate)
Awwww...thanks, LRHG! I'd be happy with one or two good snowstorms! My mother always told me about the "Blizzard of 72" which occurred the night of my birth in which the doctor couldn't make it to the hosptial. so, I think that's where my love of the snow comes from!
And yes, Florida is awfully skinny...there aren't too many states that you can cross in 2 hours. ;D

Yeah, but try to drive from Pensacola, or even Jacksonville to Key West and you'll be singing a different tune.

I'm in Mississippi. Land of the last, land of the lost........... We have a total of 3 months of what you would call "cool" weather but we never pack away the shorts or sandals because you never know when it's gonna hit 90! I remember one year my jack-o-lanterns rotted in a day because it was so hot.
So now you know why I'm jealous--I'm over the heat!! Can't wait for the pix!
Dammit Sunny, I should be angry with you.
Look what you've made me do:
One that needs a lot of landscaping work, but is the same as what we are paying for our house:
And my favorite, that has me seriously thinking:
House two sits on 2.5 acres, 2700 square feet, a screened in porch facing those trees (far left, lower than rest of house)...This is perfect, and its only just under $5000 more than what I'm paying for mine.
Wow...I'm not particulary fond of ranch-style houses...but the second one (which must have a lower level/finished basement/rear section) is really appealling! The first one looks like a 'diamond in the rough' and I can see you doing a lot with a few cosmetic changes & landscaping!
So, which one is in PA?
Unfortunately, neither of them. They are in Madison County, Indiana (Anderson, except one is very far out of Anderson but still has their address, and the other is near a tiny little one-stoplight town, wait, no its a 4 way flasher...anyway tiny town called Markleville. Never thought about looking there for a home, but I am in love with that one. And its cheap as hell for that amount of land and sq footage.
Seems like the perfect amount of land & sq.footage to let the boys out to roam!
What do you consider "cheap as hell"?
$115,500
One county over, where I work, that'd be $200, easy, for that amount of land alone.
OMG! If you can...JUMP ON THAT NOW! That sounds like an incredible bargain...and you never know, if they're motivated to sell - they may accept less. Would you mind that commute?
Nahh...It'd be just about the same.
I know I should. I've just got so much effort sunk into this house, and not to mention, I haven't finished my painting project and my white berber has seen brighter days. Literally.
Well, you've got to do what's best for you...kinda makes it hard to jump ship when you've poured your heart and soul into something.
I have (very small) glimpses of doubt as I look around my freshly painted, newly carpeted, newly ceramic-tiled house with blue skies every day...knowing what & where we're moving to...
But, that's what life is all about -- taking chances & moving on.
Yeah, see mine needs freshly painted and new carpets wouldn't hurt. That will be just another unneeded expense. But then again, maybe I'll regret not taking the chance.
I'm going to show it to Aaron and let him make the call. Then I can't have the burden of regret either way entirely on my shoulders alone.
Sunny...
The realtor's last name is Dazey. How funny is THAT?
Sounds like fate to me!!!
I really like "your favorite" Daisy. It has my vote. ;D
Thanks guys. I know. This is tough...I could handle making the move, but it would be sad, too. Aaron worked his ass off to get me this house because I wanted it (and we were struggling back then, barely bringing in $600/wk combined). So it would be sad, but the other house has so many things we want: more room inside, a view of the trees where I can sit and just chill, no annoying neighbors and their loose dogs, the land has so much to offer as far as expanding our business from one truck to two. I'd have somewhere to park them if he were able to put up a big pole barn behind the house somewhere to park them. Something not tacky.
Both homes face east. I've never lived in a home facing east. Its always been west, south once for a short time. Northwest our first apartment.
I like log homes. I actually looked at one myself once upon a time. Didn't buy it though. Something about a log cabin in Florida just doesn't seem right. ;D
Umm yeah I could see that. Though, if you have any swampy small lakes, it would look neat there!
I just so happen to know somebody that could build you a "not-so-tacky" pole building!
Something like this (only with a sliding door to accommodate the semi)
Wow. Thats nice! Maybe in brown? (To match the house, of course)
Oh, most definitely! LOL! Any color your heart desires...
Hmmmm
The only downside I can find is that it has well water. But we always have water purifiers anyway for drinking. Its just the smell in the shower.
It even has a basement. I know what Aaron's going to decide. He's scared to death of Indiana weather in the spring.
There's a smell in the shower?!?
I lived in a farmhouse with a well before moving to FL & I don't recall that...
The well water we have in PA stinks! It smells really iron-y.
I'll be pouring some bleach in ours then...for some odd reason, our new house has a well, but public septic.
And I'm so funny about smells...ugh!
I guess you get used to it. I'll just use a water purifier, and plenty of soap in the showers.
Listen to me! I'm talking like I'm going to do it!
Though, I did email the link to Aaron. I don't know how often he checks his email lately.
ooooooooh....I'll keep my fingers crossed....you just never know what he'll say!!!!
I know. He's a wild card. Definitely. I first brought the idea of looking at house up on our anniversary. He was interested at first, then after a while he said that he didn't really like the idea of moving. He loves our home.
And home is where you make it...he could love this one, too.
Heck, beyond a month ago, I NEVER would've thought my husband would've suggested a move back to PA.
You just never know.
True...but this is the first "home" that has ever been a real, solid home for him. Some heartstrings there.
