Ours will be kicking off in exactly two weeks...heading to FL for a week's vacation, stopping in Charlotte, NC on the way to pick up our other two girls!
DH's family is renting 3 cottages in Homosassa for an extended weekend...taking a couple boats out into the gulf to pay 'tribute' to sister...a family tradition...
Spending a few days at the ocean...then closing on our house....YEAH!!!!
Then returning to PA so that 4.5 year-old can start her first soccer season. :smitten:
Any plans you'd like to share?
Working at the gym as much as possible. I'm trying to pay off my car fast so all I have is the mortgage. Then year round school starts the first week of July. I'll probably come to PA in Sept when I get my first track out. I'm sad that I'll still miss the fair!
That is a true bummer, kim. But, I'll stop at all of your favorite stands so that you can experience the fair vicariously. ;D
And you BETTER put my house on your visiting list this time around. :icon_evil:
I track out for 3 weeks so I'll be able to drive and spend a lot of time. When I fly up there, it is hard to go anywhere! Maybe you can get me one of those milkshakes from the dairy people and put it in your freezer? haha
You mean from a dairy isle? I'm right in the middle of about 4 of them...we can just zip to one & get you a freshly made milkshake...I think they should still be open.
Well I'll take that too! No the Dairy People at the fair. They have the best milkshakes in the entire world. My sister and I used to live off of them when we worked at the fry stand!

Not exactly sure where I got lost...obviously somewhere between the apple dumpling stand and the cow barn. ;D
I can definitely fit a shake in for you...after the hot sausage sandwich, steak hoagie, slice of TJ's pizza, gyro, funnel cake, and taffy all settles. :ogle:

Ok, ok, thats enough. I gained 5lbs just reading this post.... ;D
How come TJ's pizza tastes better at the fair? I have asked Mark that and he thinks I'm crazy!
IDK! Maybe it sits in the grease a little less or more? *shrug* LOL! It does seem like different pizza though. And the pepperoni balls are fun, too.
Sorry, me...something about fair/carnival food just has an appeal about it. It's so...naughty. :icon_twisted:

I know... :icon_twisted:
Wow that time went by F-A-S-T!!!!
See you all in about 10 days.
We are FL bound in 24-hours.
Sunny outta here.
:sun:
Honk when you get to North Carolina! Hell just pick me up!
Have a safe trip!
I'm headed to Panama City Beach, FL in 15 days! :sun: :island: :sun:
Hmm, not sure if we're doing anything this summer. From this point on, our extra money is going towards buying new furniture for the house, because a lot of our stuff isn't going. And a new tv. And new kitchen things, like a top of the line coffee maker. And electric can opener. I'm easy...these could be birthday gifts. Hopefully my mom's been listening.
I hear ya, Daisy...although expensive, it's lots of fun to have a new house to fill!!! And who wants to put old stuff in it?
Not sure how 'top of the line' you wanna go with the coffee maker, but I wouldn't trade our Bunn for anything in the world! It was very affordable, is always ready for a fresh pot of 'joe & keeps it hot in the thermal carafe for about 6-8 hours.

Oh, and we're back from FL!!! Missed you guys.
I need some coffee now...
Here ya go, Daisy.

Hey kim -- did you have fun on the trip? 8)
Of course I did! We drank with Marines!
How was your trip?
Hey, kimmi...I never answered your question? At least not here...the trip was relatively unprecedented...but, thanks for asking! We spent some time with husband's family in Homosassa Springs at a cabin. Took boats out to the Gulf of Mexico & paid tribute to his sister.
Spent a few days in Central FL & attended the closing on our home. *yeah*
Visited with g-pa...
And travelled up the eastern coast of FL & spent a few days at Ormond Beach, which was the best part of the entire trip!
On the way home, we stopped for the night in Mooresville, NC -- but, I believe that's a good 3 hours from where you are?
Needless to say, I hope to spend the NEXT trip in ONE destination.
Yes Mooresville is on the western side of the state I believe. I think it is in Nascar country! Well good. School starts back for me next week and I am looking forward to tracking out in Sept. and going back to the beach when it is less crowded!
^^^ That is the best looking cup of coffee I've ever seen! Almost too pretty to drink! ^^^
After we get moved in, I'm thinking it'll be time for a trip. Just to step back and decompress from the stresses of the last year. I'm so over it. I want to be home, and settled...then I want to get out and relax!! If that means a weekend camping trip because I'm (hopefully) employed and can't get vacation time, FINE! Just anything!!!
I really want to go camping but I don't have too many friends that are all about the camping thing. I miss it. I have a huge Rubbermaid container with a tent, sleeping bags, other camping stuff in it that just gets moved from house to house when I move - no longer though. I don't want to sell it but I can't find anyone to use it with. Maybe my next man will be a camper!
I love camping...I havent been in a couple years. We'd talked about going to Hocking Hills in Southern Ohio and getting a cabin, that way the boys won't freak out so bad....
That would be a lot of fun! A friend of mine got married in the mountains here in North Carolina. I was in charge of getting the accomodations for 10 people. We stayed at this little "resort" that reminded me of Dirty Dancing. There was a main lodge and then cabins up the hill. It was very plain but cute. I have one friend that hates nature - she was pissy the whole time. I just kept feeding her beer and she relaxed! I guess you can't do that with the boys!
Don't underestimate....LOL J/K.
As long as we can bring along the PS2 and PSP we're good. They can be entertained for hours, while mommy hangs out in the hot tub, getting buzzed!
I have no plans. New baby seems to dominate the picture right now. Trying to get the guy's trip to Bristol rejuvenated. Anyone have tickets they need to get rid of?
