There are many horror movies based on real life events. One of the most well known movies "Physco" is based on serial killer Ed Gein. Ed Geins life is also loosely potrayed, in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. The Hannibel Lechter movies, have also been said, to portray this infamous serial killer as well. Ed Gein has gotten more screen time, than any of the serial killers, in American history. Does anybody know of any other movies, based on real life crimes???
I saw the Black Dahlia the other day--had a real weird twist on who killed her and why
But for its time, that was one helluva crime--and they still don't know who did it!

I saw the movie too. It seems she was kind of messed up. I never knew that she did porn. I don't think it will ever be solved. What a horrible way to die. And don't even get me started, on the pictures of her body. :spooked:
I also saw American Psycho on some free channel last weekend--kinda a dark comedic takeoff on Ted Bundy in the 80s. I recommend it!
I'm kind of surprised they never did a big screen movie, about the OJ Simpson murders. If you like movies about serial killers, you should rent...
"Ted Bundy"
"Gacy" > its about John Wayne Gacy
"Dahmer" > it's about Jeffery Dahmer
"The Hillside Stranglers"
"Zodiac" there are a lot of them on the Zodiac killer.
I've seen them all. It tells a little bit about their lives, and gives some clues into why they became who they are. "Ted Bundy" was my favorite.
Yeah--seen all of those.......they did a tv movie on OJ not long after the trial was over but it was really lame--the guy playing Kato really nailed it--it was a hoot!

I think I saw that one. It's a wonder they didn't do a movie about BTK.
Oh, I'm sure it's coming--just gotta find a producer with the backing.........he is a real nut job, ain't he? :spooked:

I followed that case to the extreme. I was a lurker on the catch BTK forum. The day he was arrested, they had the information on that site, before it was announced to the public. That is one of the absolutely sickest killers of modern times.
Yeah, and he has absolutely no conscience or remorse....scary to think that there are a lot of people out there just like him! :spooked:
I didn't see it but was Capote about his book In Cold Blood? That was a true story! If you haven't read it, you need to!

If I remember right, Capote's book "In Cold Blood" was Dennis Rader's (BTK)favorite book. It was based on a true story. If I remember right, it was a robbery gone bad. Somebody told the robbers, this family had a safe full of money in their house, but they didn't, and they raped and killed the entire family. :spooked: Is that the one Kimmi?
They didn't rape any of the women, just killed them.
And it is a great book.
The irony is that Robert Blake played Perry--one of the robbers in the movie........ SPOOKY(http://www.frightbytes.net/halloween/spookysmiles/msmile11.gif)

That would be the one! Was the movie Capote about that story or just about Truman Capote himself?

I haven't seen that movie in a long time. In the movie don't they hang Robert Blake's character at the end of the movie? They should've done that to him in real life when he killed his wife. That guy is as GUILTY as OJ. I say hang'em both. :icon_twisted:

I'm not sure, but I think it was a biography of sorts, about Capote's life and carrer. Don't quote me on that though LOL!!!

Yup, he swung! As he should in real life along with OJ.
But it's ok--they will get theirs........they always do!

It doesn't look like old OJ is going to get off this time. I'd like to see him punished in some way. Well, he wont be able to reassemble the dream team, considering half of them are dead. :spooked:
Did anyone mention Helter Skelter?

That Charles Manson is Hitler reincarnated. :spooked: He is scarey, and crazy as hell too. He's very proud of what the "family" did to those poor innocent people. I wish their convictions hadn't been commuted to life. If anybody deserved to die, it would be that bunch of spookes. The Manson women are probably going to be paroled at some time. What a scarey thought. They'ed probably do it all over again, if given the chance. :spooked:
Nah, the Manson chicks will NEVER be paroled. They are there to be made an example of. Besides, who wants to be a part of the parole board that let one of those freaks loose--not me!

One of them is getting close to getting paroled. I don't know which one, but they normally come up for parole every 2 years, now she only has to wait a year for her review. As scary as it seems, she may very well be released, in the near future. God help us all if she is. That's why, I wish their death sentences hadn't be commuted to life. Life in prison doesn't always mean life in prison.
Trust me--they will NEVER be paroled. Ain't gonna happen cuz it's too political. I would much rather say that they will stay locked up for the rest of their lives because the crimes they committed were so heinous but that would only be half true--it's politics.
But at least something will keep them in the pokey til it's time for them to meet their maker!

I hope you're right T. The guy that shot John Lennon, has been up for parole several times. Everytime that happens, Yoko Ono goes to the hearing, and begs them not to let him out. He might as well stay put, because if he gets out, someone will kill his ass. :rifle:
Yeah, he's another nut job that needs to stay put for sure!

That guy that shot Reagan needs to stay put too. The guy that killed Rebecca Scharfenberg too. That was horrible. :spooked:
