I know this is an issue that's been beaten to death, but we are getting shafted at the pump while oil companies are making record profits. Why have we not revolted yet? Are we so dependent on gas that we will continue to let this happen? Are we too complacent to even recognize common sense, or is there nothing we can do? Where's the anger?

I'm angry, and I think it sucks,.....but, the bottom line is, there aint diddly poo poo that we can do about it....I'm not mad enough to quit driving......are you?....supply and demand rule's this industry....as it should....quit buy the product will force them to lower the price, and we are not going to do that...even at $4 a gallon...we will still drive.....
Who do you get mad at?
Of course we can't quit driving...we are slaves to mobility. I'm not really directing my anger towards any one person or entity, pretty much just the whole situation. If this really is just mere supply and demand, we're screwed. Gas could go to $6.00/gallon overnight and people would still have to buy it. It just seems for items we absolutely need, the supply part of S & D becomes irrelevant. It's like selling pot (except for the legal issues of course, which really makes this comparison irrelevant). Regardless of how much supply you have, the going rate is X amount for this, Y amount for that. You wanna buy in bulk you might get a deal. I guess when it all comes down to it, oil companies are nothing more than drug dealers. They feed on our addictions and jack up the price once we're hooked regardless of supply.
you are right.....they do it, because they can....
I was able to quit driving. Of course, now I don't go anywhere.
Now that Chavez has seized control of the oil fields watch how high it is going to go! :icon_evil:

Last I knew this country imported 12.8% of it's oil from Venezuela. . . :icon_evil:
I guess it's just my liberal side thinking this can't be good for society as a whole.
"Oil" is not good for society if you ask me. . . It's made from dinosaurs and they are extinct.
