I watched two programs yesterday about prisons and the violence within them. As I was watching and noticing the gang and drug violence, I was thinking, why not let these ruthless murderers who are now ordering "hits" on civilians from within the prisons kill each other? I mean if you're in prison and just want to serve your time and leave, then fine. But there are all these people who are serving life sentences and still murdering people inside and outside the prison (thru very complex coded messages). Why are we feeding and protecting these people with an unevolved, animal-like psyche? If they want to kill each other, fine...one less meal we have to pay for. Sorry if this sounds cruel, but I have no sympathy for these neo-Nazi "brotherhood" folk, or any other gang for that matter. Did anyone else see these shows on the NG Channel? Very interesting.

I somewhat agree with you IYT....I did not see the show you was talking about, it would probably just tick me off....
I think that we need to privatize the Prison Systems.............we pay minimal pay to guards who will accept bribes from anybody to feed their families...
If a prison was ran correctly............there would be NO drugs, NO Organized Crime, nothing...........it would be prisoners, working and serving time....period.......no cigarettts, no fun activities...............work and sleep................serve the time and be released. The are there because they broke the law and lost their freedom and privledges......quit wasting tax dollars to allow the things that go on in Prison.
If a guy, cooperates, works, sleeps and does exactly what he/she is suppose to do.......then allow them to be released earlier. If they do not cooperate, then time gets tacked on....
If a murderer/rapist is convicted....give them three strikes your out polocy...........and I mean out as in "OUT"..........hmmmm...don't sound too Christian like does it...............hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....or does it? :confused:

There was one instance where a hit was ordered, the guy who ordered it thought the hit was done sloppy, so then he ordered a hit on the original hitman.

that is what I mean about 3 strikes your out policy...except for those guys, I would tell them as they stepped up to bat that the count is Full and they better be swingin....or they will be....
it is soo aggevating to hear of those type of stories IYT..... and it doesnt have to be that way....but money speaks...
the problem is separating the people we should just write-off as almost sub-human from the people who maybe made a mistake, but don't deserve to be raped and brutalized by the sub-humans.
but i do agree. there is a point where you have chosen to live outside of the simple rules of humanity and i have zero ability to have any compassion for these people. and prison is no deterent to these people and we all know that. nothing is a deterrent to them.

Worked in a prison for a while.
You are absolutely right about the "layers" of those who find themselves behind bars.
While I was in the pods, I saw my job as one of protecting the minor-leaguers from the players.
