Hey...are you taking online courses? I was thinking you were?
I am thinking of taking online courses...but I have this stygma attached to schools like University of Phoenix. I don't know why. Aaron insisits its not that bad.
Wonder if an ultra-sound tech course online would be any good? I'm not finding much in my Google Search "Ultrasound Tech Schools Indiana"
Hey Daisy! Sorry for not replying sooner.
As for taking my graduate program online, it is just one format option that is offered by the university I am attending. The curricula is identical to that of the on-campus program.
I would suggest that whatever type of program you choose to pursue is credentialed in your state & will qualify you for the profession you choose to pursue.
I agree with Aaoron, not ALL online programs are "bad"...you may be thinking of the certificate or diploma-type correspondence courses...however, most universities are progressing to the offerance of an online format.
IMO, it takes a LOT more dedication, time management & independent motivation than a traditional classroom setting. FWIW.
BUMP for Daisy.
Have you explored this further?
Not yet...Too much other stuff going on with the moves. I am going to when things calm down a bit! :)
We talked more about it yesterday. He was wanting to buy a new truck, but decided to hold off on the purchase on the condition that I get myself somehow enrolled in school by August. Not sure if I can pull it off, but I'm going back!
Hey...be careful! I don't know how factual this is, but I've heard of people losing their financing because they made a big purchase (e.g. a new truck) before they closed on their home!!!!
But...let me be the first to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I'll gladly help you in any way I can.
That worried me, too. We had asked the mortgage guy if it would be okay, and he said that it should since they'll use the same credit report for 6 months (and just re-ran it last week to give us extra time) so as long as we close by September, we'll be okay.
BUT...I think Aaron's going to wait.
Cool.
That's my worry-wart'ism...always air on the side of caution.
<---Worrywart
Then just another thing we have in common.
Yup! Do you ever find yourself worrying just because there is nothing to worry about?
Hmmm....good question! I'm not sure I've ever been at that point. LOL!
Its not fun. I blame my father; in inherited his constant need to be nervous. It drives Aaron nuts.
In about 2 weeks I get to walk around in my new neighbors' house, which is only one of 2 other homes that are the same model as ours in the neighborhood, when it gets to dry-wall stage. I can't wait. So far, I've purchased our home just off the blueprints alone.
Hey Daisy....I forget where this went...maybe you have a thread in your section?
Next time you're on, please update me on school? Is it still an option?
I've looked at one and been accepted. I'm not sure that I want to go there or not. I could only be a medical assistant--I think I want more than that.
Well, congrats on the acceptance! But, if you want more...sounds like you need to hold out until the time or offer comes along.
Thanks for the update. You have your plate full just building a home!!! ;)
Yes, and on top of that Aaron has bought the first of several trucks and is hiring a co-driver to team until the next truck is bought...that means my "job" at home just got serious. But the upside is that he recognizes that I need a decent home office in the new house, not some crap tossed in a spare bedroom and called an office. I get to do payroll, taxes, and expenses on the trucks and all the drivers.
