I saw this a minute ago and it clearly said, "Sunny's Shine" and I quickly glanced at it and saw, "Sunny's Shrine" lol ...So put on your cap w/a tassel and pass the bucket. LOL

I have an idea. If you don't want to try it, don't worry about it, but it's a thread that I've been thinking about starting myself. What about the struggles that people go through to juggle their careers, education, children, romantic lives, etc., and still take care of "self"?

Not exactly what you suggested...but, I have posted some of the research I've done on various topics. I dont' want to bore anyone...but, if there's a specific issue someone interested in, I *may* just have a paper on it! I've written so many over the past 2 years. LOL!

Thanks, MsMojo! I often know what I want to say, but have a hard time spitting the words out. I'm glad that made sense...it helps to get it out of your head sometimes.

Crazy, huh? Although we have a "cold front" rolling in...highs in the upper 70's & lower 80's. Brrrrr!  :biggrin:

My only problem is that selling gets to be addicting -- so halfway into the morning, I'll be looking thru the house for more stuff to sell! ;D

Isn't it amazing when you really examine all the "stuff" you accumulate and start the really nitty-gritty decisions about what is absolutely essential to your life, that you find enormous piles of "stuff" that you just forgot about?

Nature hates emptiness.

The amount of "stuff" you own will expand to fill the space available.  :biggrin: :biggrin:

Yes...STUFF...that's what my garage (a.k.a. the storage shed) has become...a big pile of STUFF.

BTW -- we had an impromptu garage sale last weekend. Made a couple hundred bucks. Not bad for sending our junk out to be tended by the neighbors for a while before they pass it on to someone else. Good for the economy.

Today I am slowly recovering the largely successful yard sale. Much like FTW, we were fortunate enough to make a couple hundred dollars & to shed a few things that have become dust collectors or no longer useful to us. May they be in a new loving environment where they'll be appreciated. :smile:

And if my husband were here today, he'd share his very profitable idea! It hit 90 degrees yesterday, so he put a cooler outside with bottles of water -- $.50...and SOLD OUT! 8)

Yeah! It's a reunion! Hi Pari...Sandy Eggo...Kimmi...Henry!!!

Where has the time gone? I certainly didn't plan to be gone so long. My girls are now 5 and 7. We survived Kindergarten with the oldest (boy, that was a LOT of work!) and now 1st grade is even more demanding. :laugh: The youngest starts school in the fall, at which time I will officially look for a Social Planner.

I started a new job in January 2009 which I absolutely LOVE, but they make me work. *sniff* All these things combined doesn't leave a lot of free time to have many extracurricular activities.

What have I missed, friends?

We traveled from different places together and forged some great online friendships. At one point I called Florida home (hence the "sunnyinfl" screen name), but transplanted back to NW PA ten years ago.

I haven't heard too much about this winter yet, but I'm ready for it! After 27 years of driving in NW PA weather, I FINALLY have a 4WD vehicle! Woohoo!! :snow:

I haven't decided.  I've had this car for 5 years now, it's a convertible and I've come to love the convertible.  I love the car, but it's gotten to the point where if I have to put as much money into as my husband says I need to, I'd rather find a new car.  I'm torn, I need room to carry kids around, and room to carry camping gear.  So I don't know if I should go SUV, Truck, Van or another convertible.   I'll be looking around for a little while first.  My cars usually find me.  :)

Hello there, parkerdivine. Could this be the one & only? If so, it has been a long, long time. How does life treat you these days?

I'm usually winding down by 9:00-9:30 myself...doesn't mean I stay asleep all night though. *sigh* The joys of being 10 years older.  ;D

Pariann, I've never had a convertible....on my bucket list; however, I recently bought a Jeep Cherokee and I love it. The only downside is that it's a 5-passenger vehicle. Can't wait to use the 4X4 though!

Not sure the one and only, but I go by Cookie Parker in many places.  Ten years does a lot to your body.  I'm good.  Divorced, but my ex asked me back and since I never fell out of love with him, I came back.

Winding down by even reading doesn't guaranteed sleep.  I thought by this time in my life I'd be sleeping like a baby again....not so.
