Title: Pendleton Tornado
Post by: Mr442 on May 28, 2019, 08:36:40 PM
Sorry to see all the damage in my old hometown, especially Falls Park.  Very glad everyone is OK, as it could have been a lot worse.

It IS a mess!  Several large trees...GONE in the Park.  Several Homes have a great deal of damage.  Nobody hurt though.

School has been closed for two days.  You still are not allowed to drive in town.  It's a GREAT community though, people are rallying around one another and taking care of each other.

What amazed me is that for all the people I know in Pendleton, and all the video coverage I saw that had people in it, I saw no one that I knew in any of it.

That little town is growing by leaps and bounds....I used to go to the June Jamboree in Pendleton, and see several folks that I know...now days, I can walk through there and not see hardly anyone I know.....and the crowd is growing.

The population in 1972 was right at 2000, according to the sign under the city limit sign.  The town has grown.
