Title: Natural Rights & Rule of Law
Post by: Y on December 13, 2018, 12:37:23 PM
I'm in the process of forming a new political party - Natural Rights & Rule of Law.

It is based on the correct answers to the questions: a) Do you own yourself? (yes); b) Why do we form societies? (to do things collectively that don't work individually)

I'd like your thoughts.

You might add to this c) What is the most fundamental responsibility of government.

Do what is best of the country as a whole.     Treating all CITIZENS fairly in voting, heath, wealth and happiness.  All of this within all the borders of our states and country.  Taxing people on their ability to pay for the upkeep of this great nation. Locking up people who violate the constitution and all of the laws against this great nation, the United States of America. :4th3:

Good thoughts, both of you.  I'm also not satisfied with that as a name for the party.

Wow, big questions. I might add, do we, as a country, have any responsibility for other people of the world? If so, how much?  The devil is in the execution.

Big question and it will need to be revisited and expounded on.

For now, yes and no.

I want to see the primary focus on the people and problems of America first and foremost...but, one of the primary factors behind the modern immigrant problem is the vast disparity in the means of life between the first world and the third - and one of the primary causes is capitalism.
