Okay, I admit I am not on here a lot lately but there is an explanation. I got a new job and am working the backshift so while I still come here it is at really odd hours and I am so drained I don't post much. . . But. . .
I would post if there was something on here to reply to. . .
What's going on with everyone else? Post something!
Something.....
Geocaching! Every weekend going out (as long as it isn't raining) and finding caches. My boyfriend got me started. He says he created a monster. :icon_twisted:
Does this give you something to reply to?
Must not have been enough for him to reply.
Time. . .The great equalizer. I have very little of it lately. VERY little.
14 hour days are killing me. . .☠️ :reap: :reap:
I too, have been very busy at work, I have been promoted once again, I leave for work at 6am and getting home around 7pm every day.
Not in the mood to argue much these days........I usually pop in to see what is up.

Hey, you keep this up and maybe you'll have some money in your retirement account. That is if you live long enough working at this pace.

Troll, my RA is doing fantastic....My company I work for is doing fantastic........so, the better year we have the better my RA does.........I have been blessed to work for such a wonderful family owned business that has treated me great. I love doing what I do. This past year I have been rewarded beyond my wildest expectations....and there is more to come. My boss has given me full control of my dept and it is flourishing.
Heading south with my wife for some R&R in a couple of days....ready to enjoy some time with her.

You got to keep her happy Henry. Make her unhappy and divorce your butt. I have seen many men broke because the didn't treat their wife good.
For me, when it rains it pours. I sometimes think of myself as a locust. 7 years, nothing out of the ordinary, then wham! Big time changes, one after the other. The last time it happened I had read my horoscope in Glamour Magazine. Big changes were ahead, all good stuff, it said, and that's exactly what happened. I sure hope I emerge from what's been going on this time with a smile on my face!
Good to see you back around Libby! Hopefully with a smile on your face! ;D

Yeah, I need an escape from reality. I have a killer toothache, so I'm drowning it with beer and aspirin.
;D

It's a nice escape, huh? I haven't been on in a while. Fighting Lyme disease.

It doesn't suck nearly as bad as Lyme disease. :spooked:

My sympathy, my friend.
Hope everyone is feeling better. I've been busier than usual, too. Don't really know why. Volunteer work has increased some and we have been watching the granddaughters some. I had forgotten how fast a toddler can move! At least the baby is still in the feed, change, sleep, repeat mode. 😊.
The older I get the more I think about the wonder of small children. :smitten:

Thanks. Found out there is a possibility for my symptoms to come and go up to a year after finishing the antibiotics! The fatigue is the worse; had to fight to stay awake at work today.

I love seeing the little ones come into the library. Sometimes the parents use the computers near my office. There is a coffee table and three chairs right outside of my office and the children will sit there waiting for the parents to finish using the computer. (Why the parents don't go to the kids section so the kids can play and read while they wait makes no sense to me. And yes, they know they can.) One time two little girls were waiting with nothing to do. I retrieved some crayons and paper and gave it to them. I sat with them for a little bit as they were quite chatty. It brightened my whole day. :smitten:
 Good for you!

There's even a worse one coming down the tracks that's also tick-borne:
Rare, tick-borne Powassan virus worries some experts about possible spread As if Lyme disease isn't troubling enough, a more serious tick-borne disease may be emerging, experts warn.
Powassan virus, which is a far rarer and more deadly pathogen than the bacterium that produces Lyme, is also transmitted by the deer tick. The virus can cause inflammation in the brain, which leads to death or permanent disability in 60 percent of cases...
..."The bottom line is that we should be very scared of it because nobody is safe from it," said Dr. Jennifer Lyons, chief of the division of neurological and inflammatory diseases at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and an assistant professor of neurology at the Harvard Medical School. "And it could be that it is emerging and will explode over the next few years."

And the Bourbon virus:
"...Wislon had Bourbon virus, an extremely rare tick-borne illness that was first identified at a University of Kansas hospital in 2014.
According to the CDC, there is no known treatment for the virus.
"It's viral. There isn't anything you can do. It just has to run its course," May said."The woman died of the virus. She's the fifth confirmed death of it since it was discovered in 2014.
