It's hard to find somebody who likes classical music, especially opera. I used to get on the bus and go to the Kennedy Center by myself ... that was years ago when the streets of D.C. weren't so dangerous. Went to my first live Opera there: Mozart's The Magic Flute  :smitten:
I really enjoy classical music and I saw Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. I'm not much into opera, although there are a few operatic pieces I like. I like a lot of different types of music and would play different styles for my daughter when she was young. She was the only five year old in kindergarten who would ask the teacher to put on Mozart! She still has a love for classical.
My first exposure to classical music was through Bugs Bunny. (See! Cartoons are good for something! lol) There was a lot of classical music in the cartoons, and there was some take offs of a few operas. "What's opera, Doc." was a parody of Wagner's operas, but the best, imo, was the "Rabbit of Seville". This was the only one I could find that showed the entire cartoon.

My favorite classical, wel second favorite, is Moonlight Sonata which is played in the Charlie Brown cartoons a lot. My all time favorite is Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. There are 4 different movements that tell a story. Wonderful to nap to or on a night when you can't sleep.
