Title: Tales from the library - Rough House Version

Last week we moved our adult collection around.  The fiction is now where the non-fiction was and vice versa.  The mystery, sci-fi, bios, audio books and oversized books moved, too.  Although we had signs up stating the move, and put up signs where the collections now reside, patrons still come in with a look of confusion on their faces.  Sometimes it is a bit amusing watching them walk into a section where they think the book they want is and then coming out of the stacks and look around with an almost panicked look upon their faces.     We keep a watch out for them and quickly point them in the right direction.
They did that at our library a few years ago. Fortunately, I had worked in a library when a kid and in college on a work study program and so I knew where the books were.

This makes no sense.  All libraries are set up differently because of their size and layout.  I can go into another branch of our system and have to look around before knowing exactly where to find a collection.

I guess they made it easier at our library or at least it was for me.  Now, I can go home and into our new library and I have no clue where things are or in other libraries. Our library here they did put up signs but I can't explain how I knew where things were after they finished it. I am sure the next time they redo things I won't be able to know where things are.  It helped that I knew the Dewey Decimal System for nonfiction.

Without having to look at the signs.

If there were a "Queen of Anecdotes" award, you would be the recipient.

Nope, I don't know as many things as you would like to think I do. For instance, the cost of tea in China or what makes certain things work. Just because things happen to people doesn't mean it isn't true. You seem to think that things can't happen to people or that they are lying. When one gives an explanation, you seem to think it is not true.

That's because most of the time, it isn't.

Especially on forums.

Wrong. So think whatever you want. You don't know anything about me except what I want people to know.  I guess you don't think we have travelled and gone to Europe or Central America.

I think it's pretty clear that I don't believe much of what you say.

And I don't believe much of what you say but seeing as how both of our kids are adopted internationally. We had to travel to adopt them. Most adoptive families want to do that to experience the culture and be able to tell their children about the country they came from. Next thing, I know, you will say our kids aren't real.

I wouldn't go that far. You're confusing me with those Topix idjits with whom you usually post.  It's the majority of your anecdotal little stories that I tend not to believe.

I don't care whether you believe them or not. I know what I do is true. If I didn't do something, I don't comment or talk about things that I don't have knowledge of. Maybe I should ask you to prove the things I say. You don't have a clue where or what I do in the course of the day. The people I talk with or the places I go around here.

See, this just proves you don't have much more than a couple of brain cells to rub together.  Why would I want to prove or even be able to prove anything you claim?  :roll eyes:

I'm not going to continue this back and forth with you on Abby's library thread.  I just want you to know that I have you pegged.

BTW, I'm not interested in sending you any PMs, or replying to any PMs from you on this or any other matter, so you can refrain from sending any more.  ;D

I knew you wouldn't have the stones to answer me in a pm and shows. I sent the pm to settle it there instead of in here and you show you wouldn't reply back. Again, you can't prove anything. And you have no one pegged.  You are the one who started this little commentary with the snide comments and you can't back anything up.
