I see they have found someone to take part of the former Target location in Applewood.
Right now I have to drive to Indianapolis or Muncie in order to visit this store, but it seems one is coming to Applewood Shopping Center soon.
What store is it you ask?
Why, Harbor Freight of course. Opening soon! :big grin:
A place to find cheap knuckle-buster tools at deeply discounted rates, and various gadgets-doohickies and other man stuff. . .
I don't go there often because of the drive involved, but now I'll be going at least once a month! :big grin:
Great place to pick up car jacks, motorcycle jacks, welders, and other stuff that a man needs once in awhile but doesn't want to break the bank buying.
I kept hearing it was going to be a Rural King. Guess those who told me that were wrong huh?

I love that place too! Nothing better to give you a T-Boost than Harbor Freight!

Yes, yes, yes, I bought a standing drill press, a metal cutting band saw many years ago and they are still running fine. It seems that I use the drill press every week for something or another. I have bought many things from them and haven't got anything bad.

Who knows, they may take the rest of the Target building then?! (Hope so).
Love both of those places. Bought my Chaps for cold weather riding at Rural King.

Indeed. When I worked at 96th street, several colleagues and I would spend our lunch hour there at least once every other week. :big grin:

Yup. I bought a couple of 5 ton floor jacks, a 3 ton floor jack, several pairs of jack-stands, and a host of other assorted tools and implements from them and I've never been disappointed. Still have most of it and it all works too.
My husband is looking forward to it opening, too. I heard a Burlington store might go into the Target building.

That'd be good too.
HF is hiring this week. They had a couple guys out front handing out papers earlier and the doors were open.
A friend of ours got hired to work there.

I visited the now open Harbor Freight in Anderson this afternoon. It was a very pleasant experience!

I have always wanted to shop at a Burlington, if they put one in...I most certainly will check it out. Still haven't looked at Citi-Trends, but with Christmas approaching I might check the quality of their garb for possible presents to the fashion minded. ;)

I've got a metal band saw, a free standing drill press that I bought from them over 30 years ago and they work fine. Plus jacks and stands large and small and many many other things. I have been happy with everything I have bought through the mail from them. I have never been to one of their stores. I got all most all I need, but I still like to look. :eye:
I've never been in a Harbor Freight store either, but I've bought plenty from their web site - including a generator for less than $300 that practically powers our whole house.
You have to be careful what you buy from them and make certain to read the reviews, but I've no real complaints about anything I've bought. It's always interesting to see what they have for sale. You might just find something you need.
Recently I bought some tools to work on some instruments, and I noticed some strap wrenches and said "I need those!" I use the large one to change the whole house water filter, and the smaller one is great for opening jars.
I've never bought anything I don't still own or that hasn't done the job I needed it for from them. The store is just like any other Harbor Freight I've been to, and I have to stay out of it or I'll burn hours of time just looking at that stuff.
LOL! I getch'ya'. Try the web site. You can browse from the comfort of your recliner.
I think my husband has been there ten times since it opened. I see a HF gift card in his future.😁
