Hopefully science has found a common ground between itself and the religious folk to move forward with stem cell research.  While I believe I read somewhere that embryonic stem cells are better for the process, maybe the ones from the amniotic fluid will prove to be just as, or almost as, beneficial to the possibilities of stem cells.

I have had to have Amniotic Fluid taken 4 times. It isn't painful and if it would help to save someone's life I would have gladly donated mine.
I am not sure how this works, if it has to be from the Mother or if any pregnant woman can donate it.

I agree, Dolly. I think it's wonderful what medical research and technology is giving us the ability to do and the people that can be helped. I'm still angry that Bush vetoed the funding for stem cell research, but thankfully, the governor of California has more vision. It looks like the Dems are trying to get that turned around as well.
