I am submitting a picture or two from among some of my favorites, for potential to be included in a company calendar for 2016. No money or anything involved, but I am having a problem choosing which two I want to send in.
That's where you come in. I am going to post 8 pictures herein, number them and provide the titles I gave them when I first took them.
Please vote for the two you think are the best from among these, by posting your choices herein.

"Lunch on the Rocks II"
There are a whole lot more but lets look at these first.
I personally took each of these photographs in GSMNP in 2010, and three amongst this group I thought enough of to have them professionally matted and framed, and they are on display in my home. . . So I'd like some input if you are so inclined. . . Thanks!

#6 and #8.
But for what its worth, all are very good!

Thanks. #6 - I know it looks like I overexposed the background but in reality it is the results of the clouds present at that altitude on the day I snapped the picture.
It was the strangest sensation that day at Clingman's Dome. The clouds were very low and so as we ascended we "walked among the clouds", which visually was strange, but when one closed their eyes it felt as if a very fine mist was caressing your skin. Absolutely awesome experience.

Thank you!
I will eventually tell you which of these I have hanging in my home. Likely sometime tomorrow.
Probably a little late here but it's #1 and #3 for me.
#3 and #8 but they are all great!
#3 #8
They speak to me.
Thanks for your help everyone! I deeply appreciate your taking the time to do this for me.
Looks like 3 & 8 are leading at this point!

PH, I liked all of them. You have a good eye and the composite of them are great!
3 and 7

3 and 7
I had a hard time deciding between 7 & 8. They're both beautiful!
Okay, so for the record the ones I had professionally matted and framed were:
1, 3, and 8. And they hang in our home along with a few others.
So you can see why I felt a bit biased when it came to this and wanted some input.
1 and 8 appeared previously within a calendar for another venue, but this one is for the corporation I work for. A whole BUNCH of competition considering it will be global, so my expectations are extremely low surrounding them being chosen.
I appreciate the help each one of you offered herein. Looks like it will be 3 and 8!

There is just something about #6 that captivates me. There is something mystical about it (No pun intended)...They way the tree up front is standing out among the several behind it. I think it is a really good shot!

Appreciate that Hank, but I have a problem with the composition of the tree in the foreground. Had I lowered the lens and got the bottom of that tree I would likely submit it. . .
So at this point I am printing out 8 x 10 inch prints for mounting to board before submission.
3 and 8 made the cut but I found out the maximum is 3, so after printing out a few more, I am leaning toward number 4 "Sentinel", or number 1 "Walk in the Clouds".
"Walk in the clouds" made the cover of a previous calendar, so I may set it aside. When I printed "Sentinel" I discovered some contrasts I had not noticed before, as well as some subtle fall coloring that was starting to show. (It was taken in September).
I also have some additional pictures from a previous trip to GSM that I would like to review before deciding though. . .
All of the pictures I've posted here, were taken with a digital camera. I am not a huge fan of digital, but it does make for convenience I will admit.
I have several rolls worth of shots taken with the 3 SLR cameras I own on a previous trip. I did take the extra step of having them also put onto discs in digital formatting at the time I had them processed. So I just need to hunt down the discs. . .
I like #1. It is very pretty!

 It would seem the shots I want to look at are NOT on disc but I do have the negatives. . . Guess I'll have them put onto disc here sometime. . .
