Title: Cliche Game
Post by: Sandy Eggo on May 09, 2014, 12:03:52 AM
We hear them all the time and honestly if you think about it too much it's maddening how easily they enter our conversations.

The game: Post a cliche that you're "over", heard today or used.

It is what it is.

(I could choke the life out of an innocent person saying this )

If a person said that, they're not "innocent."

Trust me!

I hear this multiple times each day. I share your desire to place your hands around the throat of the individual(s) emitting the phrase, and to squeeze until there is no life left within them.

At a funeral: "Don't they look good?" referring to the deceased. Or she/he/they lost their husband/wife/child/mother/father.

Yes, I always want to say, no, they just look dead. Fortunately, I have always managed to keep my mouth shut.  :) I told my husband I am going to make a recording and when I die have it set up so that whenever anyone says that about me the recording will come on and say "I'm dead, I don't look good!"
