Of course that happened here in Florida.   It was over in the Tampa area.

An aggressive driving incident ended in a crash and a driver being arrested this week, and the crash was caught on video, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

According to an arrest affidavit, at 11 a.m. Monday, Jeffrey White, 4601 Snook Drive, Tampa was southbound on U.S. Highway 41 just north of Gibsonton Drive in a 2008 Ford pickup and was tailgating another driver, who began recording the incident using a cell phone,

At one point, White passed the driver and made an obscene hand gesture. Then as White merged in front of the other vehicle, he lost control of the truck, which went across the northbound lanes of traffic and onto the grass shoulder, where it hit a light pole owned by the Florida Department of Transportation, troopers said.

The impact caused the pole to collapse onto the roadway. Shortly thereafter, White fled the scene in his truck, troopers said.

Using information from the video, state troopers tracked White down at his home on Wednesday and arrested him for leaving the scene of a traffic crash, careless driving and failing to wear his seatbelt.

He was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he was released on $250 bail, according to jail records.

The Karma bus will be back to run the woman who videoed this over as well.

Driving and filming, she couldn't have been paying proper attention as required by the law. It's just a matter of time. . .

Not only that, there's also the danger of immediate disastrous consequences. I had my first real lesson when I was new to the Northern VA suburbs of the D.C. metro area:

A Navy officer and his son were on the way to church one Sunday morning, when the father got out of his car at a traffic light to confront the man behind him because he'd been tailgating. The tailgater also got out of his car, pulled out a gun, and shot and killed him.
