You know something, I fully expected to lose that game anyway, but DAMN, the pacers stuck it too them, despite ALL of the BS turnovers they officials called on them. It sucks HOW they lost, they GAVE it to them....but I am pretty pumped up on the Pacers over all performance.
All the pressure is on the Heat, THEY are the one's with the super-stars and the BIG salaries........they SHOULD win....but, the Pacers are a team with a bunch of "no-names" who WILL be a force in this league.......
My Blackhawks are trying to get eliminated by the Red Wings. . .
I think they've got Chicago syndrome; kill it during the regular season, then choke in the playoffs.
Tough game again tonight.
Barkley called Pacer's in 6 to win. Since when did he start liking the Pacer's?

Since he started hating the Heat. He can't stand the Heat; thus he makes that prediction.

That must have happened when Shack left.
Yep! That's exactly how they beat the Knicks. They stole one on the road and the Knicks couldn't recover.

Hope this will be a repeat performance.
Well regardless of what happens this year, the Pacers are a good team, and they're young. They'll be contenders for the next few seasons.
It would seem as though we finally have a good coach that can get them past the choke up point. Oooooor, could it be that Larry Bird no longer has any influence on what happens?
Choke fest tonight baby!

I hope he isn't.
Is that bald ref Joe Crawford Locutus? They haven't shown a good enough shot to tell here yet but it sure looks like him. I figured he would have retired by now if it is.
They said his name and it is Joey Crawford. Damn, he's gettin' up there in age.

He's not really that old though. He's 61.

I was thinking he was older than that. Surely that other ref has retired though, the one that raced Barkley backwards a few years back during the break and the all star games. I can't think of his name but I always liked him. He seemed to make less bad calls than the others.

Young is political-speak for choke; and you know it.
IF any of them develop the talent that would actually prevent choking, you can bet your ass they'll be on the chopping block faster than a fly on shite.
Indianapolis cannot support a high salary team unless ownership is willing to dig deep into it's own pockets. And that will not happen unless the citizens of Marion county and the nine collar counties around it allow them to dig into their pockets. (Of course, we've seen them do just that for the Indians and Colts now haven't we?)

Colts HAVE won a Super Bowl and they ARE contenders nearly every year. The Indians are always a respectable team with a fair amount of fans at each game. Yes, I agree that small city markets are at an un-fair adavantage, because of the capital that is needed to keep up with the teams like the 'Heat' and the 'Yankee's'...but my stance is this.
I have NO control over that, but I am a FAN. I like sports, and rooting for the Home Team is what I like to do. The constant "put-downs" and the negative thoughts that they will CHOKE are not in my vocabulary. I have realistic expectations. I understand that more than likely the Heat is going to SPANK the Pacers tonight. But, I am optimistic that in game 6 the Pacers could win. If I am a betting man, which I am not, I say the Heat will probably win the series but I am rooting like the devil for the Pacers.

It all hinges on whether the refs fall for Laflop's crap or not. Of course since Reg is announcing now rather than playing he sees nothing wrong with it. He even said "if you can do it and get by with it go for it". He even owned up to doing it...

I love Basketball on a High School and College level. Not really a big fan of NBA, but if my Pacers are in it, I will root for them, and watch some if I can.
Hockey is the one that I have NEVER been able to make myself watch or become a fan of. But, if we had a NHL team, I think I would be a fan, and would root them on. Just because.

Hockey is the one that I have NEVER been able to make myself watch or become a fan of. . .
I absolutely love hockey at all levels, and played organized hockey on the floor and ice leagues that infested the suburban cities and towns where I grew up. I even played in high school and would have played in college had the opportunity presented itself.
I still own a stick, gloves, pucks, etc., and it is humorous to see the looks on my neighbor's faces when I get out onto the ice here in my neighborhood on those rare occasions when it is thick enough to do so in winter.
My teeth are trashed from playing hockey, and I watch it anytime there is a game on and I am near a tv. I used to go to Ice games just to get my fix.
The Blackhawks are in the conference finals again this year, after beating their arch rivals, Detroit, in a nail biter of a series just last night. GO HAWKS!

Funny how even though I don't care about Hockey....the Blackhawks was always the team I rooted for........I guess as a kid, I grew up being a Cubs fan and a Bears fan. So by default, I became a Blackhawks fan. I DID go to an ICE game once, years ago...and it was fun to watch IN PERSON, but to watch it on TV.......it loses me EVERYTIME.

What wore LeBron out was the lack of production by his teammates. If the Heat keep playing like that, they
won't beat the Spurs regardless of whether they get past the Pacers tomorrow night or not.

That's what's bad about depending on one player to be the "star" of the team. The other players get used to sitting back and letting them do the work and when they need to step up they can't. Allen used to be good but he's gettin' up there and can't play like he used to. I just hope he isn't quite as insufferably egotistical as Kobe Bryant and gets hateful toward his teammates.
