Title: The Cliff - Part Deux
Post by: Palehorse on February 17, 2013, 02:49:26 PM
Republican Sen. John Barrasso said Sunday the country should be prepared for the sequester and its massive spending cuts to kick in next month, despite Democrats' proposal last week to avert it.

"Let me be very clear - and I'd say this to the president as I say it to you - these spending cuts are going to go through on March 1," the senator from Wyoming said on CNN's "State of the Union." . . .

These fuggin jackwagons do NOT care about anyone but themselves. THEY won't be impacted by this but every single one of us will. . . in some way.

We need to fire every last one of them!

Kind of like rescuing someone in trouble.

Gotta be careful or they'll kill you, too.

Panic.

They know their party is dying, and they can't agree on how to save it, so they flail at everything and everyone, without regard to anyone's well-being, including their own.

Never thought of it that way but it is a rather appropriate analogy!

No, they realize the endless spending can't continue and that the "cuts" proposed are not near enough to cover the spending which has been proposed.  In spite of what ya'll think we cannot spend our way back to prosperity.  When you cut something in one place and spend it in another that is not a true cut that is just redirecting and does no good what-so-ever.

Come back and talk to us about it when you find that the benefits you enjoy are getting cut as well.

You can't save the Republican party with phony dogma.  They are liars and so set in their ways they must hit the bottom and I hope death of the party.

I hope the Republicans let the Sequester take place and cause another recession.  Why?  Because some of those 20 Million people that are unemployed voted Republican and they need to starve and get the message that Republican Party is for the rich.

Then in the 2014 election we can throw all of the Republican asshole out.  :yeah:  :salute:  :tiphat:

You're damn right I would be squalling.  Why?  Because all of the most stupid people in America voting for Republicans who want to destroy the safety nets for the old, sick and poor.  Doing this for only one thing, GREED!

But can you imagine if we had Brain Dead 1 John McCain and  Brain Dead 2 Sara Palin as president and vice-president of the United State of America.  :puke:  :puke:  Or The Gold Shyster Mitt Romney.  :puke:  :puke:  :puke:

Let's see, it was Bush' fault when he was in office and had a liberal congress, both houses, for the last part of his administration but now that Obama is in office it's the conservatives, in one house of congress for a short period of time at this point, that is responsible for all the negative things.  And, to take it further, it was Clinton when he was in office, not the conservative congress, who gets credit for everything good but if it was bad congress gets the blame.  Ya'll can't have it both ways, or more to the point, blame congress on one hand and the POTUS on the other depending on what ever suits the liberal's purpose.

That's your problem. You live in the past and constantly look for redress for perceived past transgressions. It blinds you to the here and now.

Snap out of it. What happened, happened; and unless there is a lesson to be learned from it why dwell upon it?

What does that have to do with what I said?  Liberals switch the blame back and forth from POTUS to congress depending on whether they want to take credit for a good thing or pass blame for a bad thing.

You are using the past in order to validate the present; whether you realize it or not. As I am sure your mother said to you growing up, "Two (or more) wrongs don't make a right."

And liberals aren't using the past by blaming Bush to justify what is going on right now?  Sounds like a fine example of we can but you can't to me.  For 6 months to a year maybe that worked but we're in year 5 now so it isn't working anymore this is Obama's economy now pure and simple.  If it was Bush then it's Obama now.

Only because of this, U.S. stocks moved higher Tuesday, with the Dow and S&P 500 rising to new 5-year highs, as investors grew hopeful about a potential merger between OfficeMax and Office Depot, not because there are more jobs and the economy is getting better.  What's going to happen if the merger doesn't go through?  Nice try though.
