A day late for Valentine's Day:

Lady Bird Johnson in a September 1934 letter to the Capitol Hill staffer who proposed marriage on their first date. Lyndon Johnson tried to be patient: "If you are still sure you want to wait," he wrote back to her on House Agriculture Committee stationery, "I'll make my letters less affectionate and consequently less embarrassing." They wed two months later. Their love letters were shared with the public by the LBJ Presidential Library on Valentine's Day.

Now, how cool is that. It is hard to think of them as young and in love. :)
