Title: Shall We Ban Nail Pullers and Knives Too?
Post by: Palehorse on January 10, 2013, 01:31:19 PM
. . .Court documents paint a grisly picture of the crime scene. According to investigators, Harrison attacked the child with a knife and a nail puller. . .

This guy killed his 2 year old son with the implements yesterday in Noblesville.

 :spooked:   WOW!
Evil exits...and I don't think we can enforce ANY law that will EVER stop this from happening...

Very sad that children have to be involved.....

The answer is plain limit the length of nail pullers, have waiting period, full background check.  Knives must be limited to 1 in with a blunt tip.  After all the only reason for longer knives and nail pullers is to kill. I forgot a 200.00 tax and you have to turn them in when you die.

  How about banning nail guns.  They have killed and injured people who mishandle them.   :yes:  Go back to hammers, oops hammers kill too.  :haha;

No problem.

The only requirement you left out was that no registered republican can own any sharp object.

That, of course, does not apply to their brains. . . . .which, as everyone knows already, are never sharp objects and cannot be honed.

Sharp objects are to only be owned by liberal/socialist then?

Naw, just that conservatives don't have sharp brains -- except to screw others, of course.

See.

I had to explain that to you.

That's called irony.

"The difficulty with quotes on the internet is that their accuracy cannot be counted on."

Ya might want to check this out.

John Petrie's Collection of
Thomas Jefferson Quotes

  You've got to be kidding me!

Now see, this right here is why you find yourself being the predominant poster mentioned on the TUZ Flat Out Lie Tracker thread.  Thomas Jefferson never said that.  You seem to think every site on the Internet is accurate as long as it fits your political views or belief system.  But as has been pointed out many times before, the Internet is full of flotsam, just waiting to be snatched up by gullible people like you who don't take the time to adequately research anything.

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation maintains the grounds of Monticello in Virginia.  As I would hope you know, that was Thomas Jefferson's home, and is also where he is interred.

This is from their website:

Quote

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation engages a global audience in a dialogue with Jefferson's ideas.

The Foundation seeks to facilitate conversations and to use its extensive research and knowledge to stimulate interactions on a variety of topics that were of keen interest to Jefferson, the most powerful of which are liberty and self government.  Through virtual, off-site and on-site engagement, the Foundation seeks to excite the world about Jefferson's relevance today and ignite a passion for history.

Sources consulted: (searching for the phrase "second amendment")

American Founding Era Collection
Papers of Thomas Jefferson: Retirement Series
Works of Thomas Jefferson (Ford)
Writings of Thomas Jefferson (Lipscomb & Bergh)
Quotable Jefferson (Kaminski)

Comments: We currently have no evidence that Thomas Jefferson said or wrote, "The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it" or any of its listed variations.

You really need to take some time to examine your sources before you start flapping your trap about something around here.  It might keep you from showing up on the TUZ lie tracker tracker thread as often as you now do.

You really are quite patient.

I simply told her that she was no longer relevant.

But...............do you think it will really make much difference?

Her credibility simply in her opinions is fatally flawed since she swallows so much without the most basic verification.

It's kind of like the Bible thumpers who quote the parts of the Bible that suits their fancies.

The same people who (mis)quote Jefferson on politics call him an idiot (or simply ignore) his views on religion.
