ANDERSON, Ind. — A 17-year-old boy arrested in connection with a burglary died Wednesday after he apparently managed to maneuver his cuffed hands from behind his back to his front before hanging himself with a seat belt in a patrol car, police said.
Anderson Police spokesman Joel Sandefur said officers arrested the teen, another juvenile and a man after being called to investigate a 12:17 a.m. burglar alarm Wednesday at the Madison County Shrine Club in Anderson, about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Sandefur said the 17-year-old's hands were cuffed behind his back and that the teen was placed alone in the patrol car's back seat as officers processed the other juvenile and the man.
While officers handled the two other suspects, Sandefur said the teen somehow maneuvered his cuffed hands from behind him to his front and then used a seat belt as a ligature to hang himself.
Police performed CPR on the teen but he was pronounced dead at a local hospital. His name was not released. . . .

Yes, truth is stranger than fiction, if you believe the cops. Who knows how that cop put him in restraint. A lot of people have died when the cops have put their victim in restraint.  With no witness, no investigation and no charges. Case closed.
