An Anderson K-9 has been shot and killed and it's handler wounded in both legs.
The Anderson officer was part of a response team arriving at a reported "shots fired" event at the corner of Northeast and Water Streets in Pendleton. A Pendleton officer was also wounded, and an innocent bystander killed.
"Kilo" is the K-9 shot and killed in the line of duty.

My daughter woke me up around midnight or so, telling me about this...it was all over facebook...she was worried about the killer coming to our house to hide. So, I had to get up and re-assure her and her brother and sister, NOT to worry. :spooked:
This is sad news for the town of Pendleton..the innocent by-stander was very involved in several events in the town....
At least the perp in this one killed himself unlike the guy that killed the girl up there recently. Has anyone heard anything additional on that case or where that psycho guy may be?
Waiting for the news at noon, but media reports I have read seem to indicate this perp went to his estranged wifes house armed with an AK 47 among other weapons, intent on harming her. The police were called before he could begin, and he began shooting as the squad cars began arriving.
He eventually killed himself, but not before killing an innocent passerby, a police dog, and wounding 2 officers. . .
Someone I know was friends with the innocent individual that was killed. :'(

I am also hearing that this perp was, much like the Batman shooter, heavily armed and wearing a flak suit. . . :mad:
