Personally, I think it is pretty strange, but I know a few Mormons who may very well be the nicest people I have ever met.
When are you going to join the Mormon Church. You do know that the Mormon Church demands, requires that all members give 10% of their income to the church. I know you would go for that. :haha:

First of all....never, and secondly, I have given to the church I used to attend on a regular basis. I'm not sure what makes you think I am not a generous person. Just because I don't think our government should constantly have their hand out paying for things to assure votes from different segments of our population.
I would much rather give my money to "certain" churches, where I know for a fact, the money is going to go to good use.

Henry, where is Mitt Romney tax returns for our government? Where is the tax returns from the 8 foreign bank accounts? Hmmmmmmm!
America people want to know.   Could old Mitten be a tax cheat on top of everything else.

Like I was told about Obama, Romney has been vetted and cleared to run for the office so forget it he has to prove nothing to you or anyone else. Does keep your mind occupied and off the economy though doesn't it?

Again, if Romney is so "vetted", then why is he not following the precedent his own father set in releasing his tax returns for 10+ years? ? ?
You're such a "firm believer" in such things, why are you not holding your Golden Mitten to the same standards?

Mitten hasn't been vetted by the Republican Party. Nobody likes Mitt Romney. At the start all the Republicans said, "Anyone but Mitt". He and his billionaire and Millionaire backers choose to run. Mitt Romney has not been vetted by anyone but himself and he's not talking, Honey Buns.
Now wait a minute, someone posted that all candidates have to be vetted to even qualify to run for the office of president so Obama didn't need to be vetted by the press and the people. If that's the case then Romney has been properly vetted to run. If that isn't the case then both he and Obama should be properly vetted by the press and by the people. You can't have it both ways no matter how hard you try.

Obama was well vetted by the Republicans and the Press in the two years he ran for President. The only thing they could up with was his birth certificate and the church he attended. Which all turned to be another atempt to "Swiftboat him" :haha:
Romney hasn't come up with anything. He hasn't been truely vetted because he isn't talking or showing his real past record of tax evasion and and "offshoring". We don't know how much he has give to the Mormon Church because we haven't seen his tax returns. Pardon me while I :rotfl:
I want to see what the "REAL" Willard Mitt Romney is like. He has change his mind and statement so many times. Hell, he don't know if he's up and down or right or left. When a person like the Golden Mitten has lied as he has, how do you know when he is telling the truth.
KEEP LYING TO THEM WILLARD. :haha: :kneel: Willard, you need to convert all of them to Mormonism. As Mitt has said, "Trust Me" :haha:

Obama was NOT well vetted by the press or the people because every question that was asked was countered with, "you're being a racist", and the mainstream media didn't ask him about his past ties to questionable people because they were too far up his butt and only asked questions approved by him.

Out of the Butt again. The Republican Dirty Tricks Team searched the world over and over to find something on Obama, they found nothing, but made up lies about him. Obama is an open book for all people to see. Now take the Mitten. His book is a book of secret secrets, not open to anyone. A secret book of mysteries of deceit, tax evasion, pain of the workers, the people he put out of work. A secret book of off shore bank accounts and a secret company off shore he owns to teach the rich and corporations how to cheat the American government out of the taxes they owe.

Then I guess he doesn't qualify to run and should not have been on the ticket in the first place so his runner up should be running instead. Damn you love to talk out of both sides of your mouth. Also if the dems have the right to dig up dirt then so do the Republicans have that same right. It's the same as it always has been from day one and no side is without fault or the right to do it. No Mitt hasn't been vetted, but here in America you don't have to vetted. All you have to be is 35 years of age and a person who is born in the United States of America and million and millions of dollars to support you and Mitten has got that. "You people" do know that anyone born in the United States is a American citizen. You did know that, didn't you?
Hell yes Mitten can run for president of the United States of America. The billionaires and the millionaires bought it for him. He out spent all Republican candidates 10 to 1. They bought the god damn thing for him. Do you think they, the billionaires and the millionaires will expect any favors out of him?

Any candidate for POTUS must undergo an in depth background check to ensure they meet the qualifications for the office for which they aspire. If they do not then they will not be able to run.
If they pass then they are free to declare their candidacy.
As for a formal "vetting", there is no such requirement outside of those the various parties undertake when selecting candidates to hoist. Thus no legal requirement.
The constitution holds no such requirement for the office of POTUS.
Moreover, if it did, could you imagine the gridlock that would result given the current political chasm that divides this country? :eek4: :eek4: :eek4: It would take a decade to get a single candidate "vetted", and a lot of them would expire during the process!
We're not talking about Obama being vetted, he's already the president. Don't you get that and he is also black O0 I, like a lot of other Americans want to see Mitt's secret books, the books he cooks in jar besides the door. :music1: You know, like the face she keeps in a jar besides the door. :;music1:  The books of all of his money hidden outside of the country. Henry doesn't pay 10% and probably never did. :sneaky: No matter how big he thinks his heart is.:bear:

I am talking about fairness here. Obama couldn't be asked questions about some his past without being called a racist, his town hall meetings were staged, no unapproved questions allowed, hard questions were not allowed to be asked of him during the debates. Those things held true in both the dem primary and the presidential elections. Even Hillary and Bill with all their power couldn't get past him because Soros backed him and had all the money.

That was choice and his aren't near as complicated as Romney's. Obama never owned or ran a business so he doesn't have near as many pages or things to nit pick and distract with. He is not obligated to show his tax's anymore than Obama is to show his high school and college records. Asking for the tax's a legit inquiry? Maybe. A distraction from the real issues? Definitely.

Presidential Tax Returns
Individual income tax returns — including those of public figures — are private information, protected by law from unauthorized disclosure. Indeed, the Internal Revenue Service is barred from releasing any taxpayer information whatsoever, except to authorized agencies and individuals.
Like all other citizens, U.S. presidents enjoy this protection of their privacy. Since the early 1970s, however, most presidents have chosen to release their returns publicly. In the hope of making this information more widely available, the Tax History Project at Tax Analysts has compiled an archive of presidential tax returns.
In addition, we have made available returns from recent candidates for president, including those running in party primaries. The Tax History Project is currently compiling a more complete archive of candidate returns, and we welcome suggestions on who to include and where to find additional returns.

Important Notes: Paper copies of the returns can be ordered from Tax Analysts using the associated document numbers. Copies are also available from the Bush, Carter, Nixon, Reagan, and Roosevelt presidential libraries.
Two caveats: (1) Some of the images are of mediocre quality, reflecting the poor photocopies released by the White House. We're searching for better copies and will make them available as soon as possible; (2) most of the missing years reflect a quirk of the calendar. Presidents release tax returns only for years they serve in office and only while they still hold that office. Consequently, Jimmy Carter did not release a return for 1980 nor did Ronald Reagan release one for 1988 — each left office before returns were due. Likewise incoming presidents do not release returns for the year before they assumed office, even though they hold office when returns for that year come due.

OK, now were is Mitt's records. Where are the important ones, say like 1987 to today, when he was screwing everyone. The other presidents gave theirs. But most important where is his tax reports on the off shore bank accounts and the companies he owned and managed that are in foreign countries.
I'll tell you, he a out and out tax cheat, a lying felon. That's why he doesn't want them out. Old John McCain took a real, real good look at Mitt and said that Sarah Palin was a better candidate. WTF? Doesn't that tell you something. You supported and voted for old John and Sarah, don't you think John smelled something, a rat, something rotten and fishy in Old Mitt the Con Man. :sneaky: :pimp: Mitt doesn't need a gun to steal money from defenseless workers. :007:
Mitt hasn't got any plans, but George W's plans and you surely seen where that lead us. Open your eyes and see the crook you're going to vote for. :knife:
THE AMERICAN HAS TO DEMAND OF WILLARD MITT ROMNEY ALL OF HIS TAX RECORDS AND HIS AFFILIATIONS WITH FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS AND COUNTRIES.
For Romney to do what he has done with his millions of dollars over seas, Romney has to have to have had to deal with a foreign country on his own. :sneaky:

It's only an issue because it makes a distraction. Seems like it's never been an issue with any other election and I'm sure as much of a rebel as McCain is he would be outting him, and would have during the primary, rather than urging him to release them if something were wrong since he has seen Romney's tax's for the years they're asking for. Either way you don't pick one person apart bit by bit and not allow the same for another and if you don't understand what I'm saying then there is no hope.

His own father started the practice of releasing multiple years of tax returns as a candidate for the presidency; and it has all but eliminated the presidential tax scandals that used to arise during presidential administrations. (Nixon).
So as I said earlier; either he has a father issue or he has something to hide. Both reasonable conclusions.
I find it more than a little ironic to see you now defending an action you would scathe the POTUS over had the tables been turned.

I find it more than a little ironic to see you now defending an action you would scathe the POTUS over had the tables been turned.
Same can be said of college and high school records. What is being hidden? Not agreeing or disagreeing about showing them just an observation.

Nope. . . Apples and oranges. . .

Nope just different types of records. Both give you an idea of what the person is about. Both also give the other side potential ammunition to use against the other, whether real or fabricated, to distract from issues.

All you had to do was watch the debates and town hall meetings during both the primary and presidential elections to know that is fact. The race card was even pulled on Clinton during the dem primary.
Sources, please. No blogs, no e-mails, etc..

As does past acquaintances and political appointee's which are being poo poo'ed by the dems.
LMAO!
That is SO laughable.
Romney chose his career in finance but doesn't want to let the public in on pertinent records concerning that career.
The things you mention about Obama have been poured over at length for years - and one of those things is your continual ridiculous claim about the Weathermen.

Not so ridiculous if you think about it, I mean really think about it.

School records are not as telling as tax returns; especially when you consider that decades have passed since a presidential candidate was a college student, and an entire career can take place within that timeframe.
If it is a barometer of conscience that is desired I submit that an examination of tax returns would be far more telling than a college transcript.

And distract from the issues at hand while the liberals nit pick them apart. Why 10yrs wouldn't 2 or 3 be just as telling?
It don't mean a hill of beans to me........Mitt has went decades in the public light and has proved that he is a good man. If we want to open up taxes of every person in Washington, I'm sure we would have some interesting things to talk about. Mitt has been married to one woman for years.....his kids are all good people........THAT is about as telling about a person as there is....

HH it wouldn't matter if he had already released those tax's and they found everything on the up and up they would want to start on how or what he eats, the way he wears his clothes or how he arrived at his kids names and why did he really marry his wife. Like they say, if you can't discuss the issues do a character assassination.
HH said?
"Mitt has went decades in the public light and has proved that he is a good man."
That is certainly what is being debated now.
Like other public figures.
Who coached.
Ann Romney said herself. You people have seen all of the tax records your ever going to see. If Mitt show them, you would find more to critizie us about. For one, like the $77,000 tax deduction on her dancing horse. More that the average family make in a year.
If Mitt would just show the records, especially the off shored money he has hidden. It would be all over. Over as far as the debate or all over for him.  You all know he is a crook. :trustme: He'll make Nixon look like an angel.

If you know about it then it isn't hidden is it? Also if she shows the horse and makes money from it she has to report it as income so it only follows that she has upkeep and expenses which she can deduct. Do you think the owners of race horses don't take a deduction on their expenses? All perfectly legal and a deduction anyone would take including you.
Again - there is a way to end the speculation. . .

If we could see the tax records, she hasn't made a dime on the fancy nag. And the Olympics doesn't pay any prize money. Just think flying your dancing horse overseas in a big airplane. I bet that's cheap. But they get a tax deduction for it.
We could fly Pale Horse overseas and we couldn't get a tax deduction. Why? Because we don't have a quarter of a billion dollars. :rotfl:
