Didn't pull anything out I just asked a question. Don't follow religion and would have no reason to know, or care, for that matter. Each religion speaks ill of another one because they think theirs is the only "true" one so what else is new?

Pathetic ....
"Since when have Christians had anything against Mormons?" is not a question. It is a statement of your ignorance on the subject. And as usual, you try to cover it up with yet more ignorance.

Did I not say I don't follow religions and what they say about each other because they all bad mouth other religions? I don't intend to get educated about religion and that does not make me ignorant it makes me uninformed by choice. I know just enough about religion to know I don't want any part of "organized" religion of any kind. I judge people by how they are not by what religion they happen to be. You are an atheist and so are two of my grandsons but they are tolerant of others differences of opinion and you are not so all atheists are not the same either.

I have had the honor of being trusted enough to have had a conversation or two with Olias surrounding his faith; and while I respect and admire his fortitude in keeping his faith a personal matter, I can say that "me's" commentary and assumptions could not be further from the truth of the matter.
My conversations with Olias were outside of this forum and on topics that are very personal to both of us, and as he keeps and honors the confidentiality of others and those of a personal nature, I too will keep them.
But there is absolutely no doubt that "me" is wrong on this one.

What I want is an atheist as president. He wouldn't give a damn what and religious group did as long as they didn't bother anyone else. Including that they could no include their own children in their stupid religion. There would be no religious laws and no laws based on religion. No :pope:

Anne, can't you read. No where did I say that any religion would be banned. No way, no how. Let the religious fools play their silly games of worshiping a invisible guy in the sky. Watching them 24 hours a day, 7 day a week, 365 days a year. For every imaged sin and if you break one he throws you in the fiery pits of hell, because he loves. Have at it. But you religious nuts leave everybody else alone. And if one of your crazy preachers get you to drink poison, don't call on us, bury your own. We can sit back and shake our head at such fools.
Anne, you surly can't believe all of this religious smoke and mirrors. Virgin birth? And how could Jesus who is God die for our sins if he is in heaven alive for ever and ever. Anne, give us a break. You're smarter that that. Henry? I don't think so. :haha:

Exactly. There are tremendous differences in all sorts of areas. That's why I was surprised to see "me's" comments that precipitated this thread in the Rough House. It's well known, and common knowledge, that most mainstream Christian religions disagree vehemently with the Mormons, and almost all of them consider Mormonism to be a cult.

No one I know or have ran across has ever fired up on the Mormons before and I thought they were all like Donnie and Marie.....j/k'ing..... I did see that movie which was based on fact a while back and learned that there are radicals in that religion too, dangerous ones, or there were at that time. Yep! And even conservative pundit George Will agrees with that statement. He says Romney has most likely weighed the risks of not releasing them against the risks of releasing them, and apparently has come to the conclusion that not releasing them is the better option.
It sure seems that there's something in those returns that may very well cook his goose.

Let's not get too excited.....I don't think JUST because he does not release his tax forms RIGHT now, means he is cooked. I think he is STILL in the driver seat...
the bottom line will be as I have stated early on........IF the economy is still in this shape or worse.....it is Romney by a landslide...
If the economy improves, it will be a close one, but I say it will be Obama's.

So you think there's nothing in there that he's trying to hide?
If he is trying to hide something, and I don't know if he is or not, he has had several years to do it since he has been running for president for at least five years. I know he can't change his tax returns, but he could sure come up with a 'cover' story in that amount of time, don't you think? I don't know who will win the election, IMO it is usually hard to unseat an incumbent unless something pretty bad is going on, but there are always exceptions.

That question came up when Obama did not show a birth cerificate, or when it took him 3 years to find one to show....
I didn't care then with him, and I don't care an awful lot about Romney and his tax records.....I'm sure they are MUCH more complicating than Obama's....since obama had one or two jobs the last decade. Romney has enormous entreprenuerial adventures and several jobs...
I'm not ready to through the towel on him because he has not....I think if there was any REAL problems, they would have surfaced WAY before now...
YOU know as well as I do....this is ALL political BS now....both trying to find an ounce of dirt on the other and run with it.

According to Steve Schmidt, McCain's former campaign strategist, he said that Romney had turned over 23-years' worth of tax returns to the McCain campaign to vet that were extremely complex. But Schmidt also said there was nothing in the documents that would have precluded McCain from picking Romney.
"Mitt Romney went through this process and what I can tell you is that he's a person of decency with the highest ethical character and background," Schmidt said. "There was nothing that was disqualifying.

All you need is a strong back and a weak mind Right EX? Come to think about it, weren't you a half ass plumber helping your dad. Tee, hee, hee. I say, I say that girl has a short fuse. Like BOOM! :haha:

You didn't take English in high school or grade school or you didn't pay any attention? Although I may not have retained a lot of it, or care, I learned that, object of a preposition; requires an objective case pronoun, in grade school.

I had to take English over again to graduate. Even tho I had more than enough credits to graduate. But I made straight A's in Industrial arts and art class and blue print reading. Made B's in typing.
One old English teacher thought I was brash. She told me one day, when I think you're sleeping and I ask you a question, you know the answer. She didn't know that when I didn't know the answer I would raise my hand. I knew you would never call on me if she thought I knew the answer. I would look out the window or close my eyes when I knew the answer to a question. I could draw a question out of her anytime I wanted to. :haha: :haha:

The only time I really paid attention in English was in middle school when I had a teacher who could charm the birds out of the trees reading poetry. I could have cared less what kind of poetry it was or how it was constructed I just learned to appreciate it and loved to hear him read it. I used to excel in spelling but for some reason that has gone by the wayside as I get older, senior moments I guess....LOL Oh well, we got just slightly off track here.
*And now back to the original purpose of the thread.
Hit a nerve there.
Actually quite unintentionally.
Really don't give a shit.

I really do but it is necessary for me to point out that plastic surgery work or no, she's probably better looking than you and damn sure a lot more successful?

Interesting. I didn't see me mention anything about either Romney or Obama.
No wonder you're confused.
QuoteExactly.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am not jealous of anyone, not enough time in the day to waste being jealous. As for Mrs. Pelosi being better looking than me, I guess you would have to actually see what I look like, wouldn't you? Successful, yes she is, but I certainly would not want her life. I am quite happy having a great husband and two bright considerate caring children who are successful in their chosen careers. Oh, and did I mention my grandchildren and great-grandchildren?
Well, if you aren't jealous, what compels you to make such hateful remarks about someone you don't even know?

One of these days Ex may figure out success comes in forms other than status and money and true beauty doesn't come from a needle, knife, or off the cosmetic shelf.

THAT is the kind bullshit, right there, that is un-called for, IMHO. Don't give the crap about it being an 'unmonderated' area.......there people with class, and some who do not know what class means.
What did that comment do for the dialogue, other than side-track it? :roll eyes:
of course, as long as the attack is on somebody on the "right" ...everybody else is quite. Say something like that about Sandy (and Sandy, I am only using you as an example...you know I luvya :smitten: )...then those would be fighting words...
Am I right?
I don't think that was hateful, but if you did that is your problem. I seriously doubt Mrs. Pelosi monitors this forum, but if she does and asks for an apology, I will give her one.

Sure, because comparing someone to Roy Rogers and Dale Evans is the epitome of graciousness, is it not? It doesn't matter if she sees it or not as it is really more of a reflection of who you are than who she is.

Blah, blah, blah...Pelosi seems to have also done a fairly good job raising her family in addition to her other achievements.
My, my, my you can make a derogatory statement about a Republican and that's fine but let us make a remark about a Dem and ya'll come unglued and then talk about us being panty waists.... :rotfl:
*And coming up next for your entertainment:
How Ex tries to say HH, Anne, and me are always doing it first with watching his nose grow to follow. :liar:
She raised a family too!

No, I think it is just YOU who has that problem...and maybe troll.
So, what else you got?
I love the way you always try to call in others to rescue you when you are called out on something...you either do what you jsut did or you attack the grammer or you just start calling people names........you are really pretty shallow.

And where am I trying to call in others?

I don't think so. If I get myself into a pickle, y'all pretty much let me get myself out. That's not to say that y'all haven't assisted from time to time, but it's normally some poor misguided sock who thinks I'm an easy target. ;D The regulars, we're used to each other. I can't image Anne took him serious. He's a professional smartass and that wasn't even his best work..
