Title: Happy 4th

And as you celebrate this nations independence from tyranny and religious oppression, please take the time to give the following some thought:

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

"The New Colossus" is a sonnet by Emma Lazarus (1849–1887), written in 1883 and, in 1903, engraved on a bronze plaque and mounted inside the lower level of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.

I suggest you add that to your signature line.  I did with my quote.  Occasionally, we here at the Zone can come up with some good statements that rival some of the best that I've seen by the pros.   You deserve credit for that one.  It's good.

Happy 4th!!

Why thank you kind sir! I wanted someone besides me to see it first, to obtain an independent evaluation of it; which you so kindly provided.

So it now resides within my signature line. . .  :big grin: (With a slight modification though)
