Interesting.
I've always heard of labradoodles, but have never actually seen one until now. ;D

Should be a kind, friendly and smart dog. Nice.
Cute, my neice has a Golden Labradoodle. He is really high energy, but certainly cute.
Almost makes me want a dog. :smitten: I love them but.............

Buttttt! No matter how nice and sweet they are. it's like adopting another kid. Feed them, walk them, medicate them, clean up their poop. And if you can't take them with you on a trip. Either you got to tie them on the top of your car or board them which cost an arm and leg.
What I would like is for my son to let buy him a dog of my choice. So I can get him or her for a day or two like up to the lake for the weekend and take it back home. Just like grand kids.

My thoughts exactly. That's why we usually adopt the neighbors dogs....
:smitten:
They're so adorable, but I have to admit I'm not sure why mixing breeds has become so popular. I was at the pet store the other day and they had a chiwienie. That's a Chihuahua and Dachshund mixed.
I'm not a small dog person and I can't imagine telling someone my dog is a chiwienie.
Now that would be embarrassing, wouldn't it? ;D

:dogrun: :dogrun: :swish: I know a big tom cat that would just love them.
ha! you keep your cat away from my lil babies!!! bad troll
Bad Troll? The cat would hardly hurt a flea, He has come in pretty beat up from other tom cats. But he's no chicken he goes out again and again and again,
He only way he would bother you whittle baby doggies is, if they came up to him barking. He would simply jump on their widdly backs and sink in 10 well sharpen claws into them and ride them out of the neighborhood. :sneaky: :grin2: Good kitty.

My little labradoodle is sick and on meds. We have to wait a couple of more weeks longer than we planned on. His name is Payton.

Hope he has a speedy recovery and he's close enough you can go visit with him every day or every other day until you can take him home.

Actually, he is named after Chicago Bear Great, Walter Payton. The kids are sick about it, but I think he is going to be okay, the owner is just being cautious. She takes a lot of pride in breeding pups, and is tending to them with lots of love.
He is actually a couple of hours away. So we are just keeping in touch via email.

I'm glad you've got a way you can at least keep in touch and get pictures since it's that far away.
What an ADORABLE puppy, Henry! Hopefully Payton is responding to the medications? We just heard about labradoodles this year -- my girls collect American Girl dolls and they introduced "Cooper", a cute little pet labradoodle.
We totally embrace the 'adopt the neighbor's dog' theory at our house. In fact, they just brought home a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in April. Her name is "Kipper" and it's a perfect arrangement. The neighbors take care of her and my girls get to play with her!
Please post more photo when you can. 8)
Not a great picture but here is my puppy now 8 weeks old...

I know it's a different breed, but he reminds me of Snoopy here. How's he feeling? You had mentioned that he was on meds? So, does he come home soon?

He is doing great, we brought him home a week ago. He is a very smart and loving puppy. We take him to the Vet this Saturday for some shots.

He really looks cute Henry and I'm glad you got someone who will love you for who you are. Pretty pup. From what I have read, they are a great family dog. :yeah:
It amazes me just how quick one of these little guys can steal your heart! He already gets excited when I get home from work...and loves to sit with me in my chair when I watch TV. He is a sweetie!

This is a terrible picture, but it is my little pup, Payton. I will get a better picture soon.
He has also been excellent at training. He listens very well and has been a real joy to have.

Mighty fine looking dawg. He sure looks big, what does he weigh and do you have any idea just how big he will get. These dogs don't shed do they. I thought I read that some where.
A pretty pup and a pretty daughter, HH.

Beautiful! What a pretty and happy face your daughter has. Such a warm smile melts the heart. The dog is pretty too.
I know someone who has a dog that could be this ones twin. Their fur is so soft, I love to pet her.
Thanks guys.
Troll, that dog is growing like a weed, we THOUGHT he would be about a 30 pounder, but he is already over 40lb and is only 5 mo's old. I'm guessing he may get to about 60 or 70 pounds before he decideds to stop growing. He does not shed, and is very smart and easy to train.
Thank you guys for the kind words about my little girl, who is NOT little any more. She is a great kid and I am very proud of her.
Makes the whole effort worth it, eh, Hank.

Well it seems, that my new buddy found a way to get out of his "daytime" home (a kennel in the laundry room) we keep him in during times when no one is home. My wife had to come home early today and found ol Payton, having the time of his life. There were clothes everywhere, all through the house. Shoes were all through the house. He found some markers that were chewed on and all through the house. He found my daughters English book and ate it a portion of it..
Never had an ounce of trouble out him before, but WOW! He knew he was in trouble as soon as my wife yelled his name. He went directly to his kennel, with the door wide open, and just layed down.
He is on probation.....not sure what that means yet, but I gotta see to it that this does not happen again.
This would be much easier to get mad at him, if he was not so dang cute.
Reminds me of a line from a poem about a lion:
"He has a heart of gold beneath, but
The lion just can't trust his teeth."
:) :)
 that fits him perfect...

I feel the same way about my kitten. She is cute and sweet and funny -- except that she seems to go crazy during the night or when the house is empty. Twice recently, once at night, she covered my townhouse, all 3 levels, with shredded toilet paper. And to top it off, half a roll was in her water dish. And, in addition to trying to keep her away from the TP, I have to hide my glasses. Now I not only have to try to remember where I last left them, I have to try to figure out where she might have put them. It's a good thing my keys are too heavy for her to carry off -- at least I think they are :spooked:
