If you receive a call from the above number and you answer it, they will tell you they are from the DEA and have a warrant for your arrest and to search your home. Respond if you answer it by telling them you will see them when they get there, and hang up. Then report the call to the local authorities.
If you let them leave a voicemail you can provide it to the police, as we did.
This is a scam that has bilked people out of money nationwide, so warn those you care about!
Google the above. Number to read about it further!
A friend of mine had a similar thing go on, she actually thought she should send money!
Let em call me, we will have a party on that phone. I practice on telemarketers already.

It freaked out my wife until I reminded her NO law enforcement entity is going to Call before executing a warrant!
no courtesy call?
how rude is that.
They talked about this one at a crime watch meeting awhile back, another one is they call and tell you your son, grandchild, neighbor is stranded in another state with car trouble and could you wire them money via Western Union.

The main fact is, NEVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE TELEPHONE AND SEND NO MONEY. IF IT'S THE POLICE OR THE GOVERNMENT, THEY WILL COME AND PERSONALLY SEE YOU. PERIOD.
who thinks of that stuff?
scum-sucking pus bags
Had to say that -- heard one of the students talking about locals who vandalized his experiment and ruined a year's worth of research.
Thought it had a nice ring to it.

I know what you're talking about, I been a victim myself. And they are so sneaky :sneeky: about it.
My mother (not the sharpest knife in the drawer) got a call about her credit card bill. Of course she does not have a card, but she didn't stop to think about that. Anyway, the caller got pretty nasty with her, making threats, cussing at her, and so on. She finally hung up. Later she asks me about it, and what should she do? I told her it was a scam, and they were just trying to get folks info/money. If they call again, hang up. She looked at me and said, "oh, I never thought about that." :wall:

I don't know about the rest of you folks feel, but I sick of all the calls about my credit card account.
I only have ONE credit card and its balance is ZERO. I have it in case of an emergency.
I have not been bothered by any calls, but if I do...I know how to hang up.

They call in my area and they like to call in the evening just at dinner time or when you best TV show is on. I have waited until I get a person and then I scream as loud as I can, "I don't want the damn thing." I just got to find my CO2 horn so I can blow it in the phone. :smash: :@#%&: :dam:
