Many of the so called "experts" are suggesting we are heading towards $5 a gallon gas by this summer.........What do you think?
I think there is no REAL ryhme or reason behind the current rise and fall of gas at the pumps.....Nothing surprises me.

I don't know what drives gas prices, with all that is going on in the Mideast and the admin saying Isreal will attack Iran by June you would think gas prices would be that now but today they are down to 3.25. I would not be surprised to see at leat 4 or 4.50 by summer.

US gasoline prices are now being manipulated by the same jackasses who used to manipulate the stock markets; large investment firms.

They've been buying up crude holding facilities ever since the market tanked, (and somewhere on this forum you'll find where I posted about it after 60 minutes did a segment on the very thing), and they are sitting on supplies driving the prices up, and then releasing their holdings and making a killing on them.

Palehorse, if this IS the case, then why has our government not stepped up and exposed this on who is doing this?  It would only behove them to have a reason WHY this is out of control.

The gal on this mornings news said something about spring fuel production being more expensive due to what they were making.  Of course they say the same thing in the fall before they change to winter production.  Piss poor excuse and nothing but a smoke screen.  PH nailed it in his post.  It's all about making money, nothing else.

Henry, I'll guarantee you that the ones in government who could expose it, don't want it exposed, since it would expose them.

I am not denying your answer, because your most likely correct...........I just think if PH is true, and again, I am not saying he is not.....then this would be BIG, BIG news....to big to keep quiet.  60 minutes story SHOULD have been enough...but why wasn't it?

Are we that far gone by our goverment that not ONE can make an issue?  I find THAT hard to believe....but, I don't have a better answer either.

I still say if we would open our wells it would instantly drop our prices....around the world.

And we're still exporting refined gas as well.   We have a surplus of gas, but still the price goes up.

Yes, it a con game, it a fraud, it's a crime, but it's capitalism.  Good old free market capitalism.  Charge all that the market will bare.  Just like the McClure gas stations on highway 37 from Elwood and Marion where the same gas is 20 to 30 cents difference with the gas supply for the stations is right in the middle.

Automatic electric gas prices that can be changed at the slightest whim.  Collect tax rebates from the government and money and lobbyist for the crooked congressmen.  Money sure talks and bullshit walks.  A Hawk world.  I would be funny if it wasn't true. :haha:

And our domestic oil wells are pulling it from our reserves at record levels too.

Really craps all over that "drill baby, drill" theory surrounding it lowering the price of domestic gasoline!
