Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow.
A man named John got a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and worse vocabulary.
Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot. The parrot got angrier and even more rude. John in desperation, threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and threw him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quite. Not a peep for over a minute.
Fearing he had hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out of the freezer onto John's outstretched arms and said "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."
John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude.
As he was about to ask what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird spoke-up, softly, "May I ask what the turkey did?"
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!

Kudos to this lady for taking time to serve up meals to the less fortunate, even while still being partially incapacitated. Kudos to Mark Kelly as well.

I have to be thankful for Apple, and the fact I bought a Mac just shy of 4 years ago.
I encountered an issue with a hardware failure and made an appointment at the Genius Bar in Indpls to get it diagnosed and hopefully repaired today.
Not only are they going to fix it, but they are fixing it free of charge AND shipping it directly to my doorstep when it is done! No charge! 8)
Try getting that kind of service with a 4 year old windows based machine! (Ain't happenin'! )
That (a MAC) is next on my list of things obtain....my PC is on it's last leg, and I got it 5 years ago, but it has been running like crap for the last two.

You know how I feel about Apple and Mac Henry. Yes, you spend a little more up front, but at the end of 4-5 years you aren't going to be spending it again! This is the first issue I have had with my Mac since I bought it. My wife has one too, (I am using it now), and we both couldn't be happier with them.
You truly get what you pay for! (And with a Mac you only pay for it once!)

Oh, I am a believer, I bought laptops for both of my boys when they started college and both of them are working spot on, with NO problems.
I am anxious about getting one, just been kind of lazy (cheap)...letting my PC hang in there...but, that thing is driving me crazy...it locks up ALL the TIME.

If you can swing it, get one before that pc finally fries, like I did.
When I got my Mac I turned the pc over to my wife. Then when it finally croaked, I bought her a Mac too!
And get an "Airport Extreme" too. You will not find a stronger and more robust wireless unit out there!

My next investment is going to be a snow thrower....maybe. My two snow shovels had not worked to well since they headed off to college....and this back is NOT what it used to be.
