Title: Madison County Wind Farm Deadlocked
Post by: Palehorse on June 16, 2011, 05:28:48 PM
Well, I read where the Madison County Council deadlocked with a 3-3 vote surrounding the proposed abatement requested for a wind farm to be
constructed in northern MC. . . Jackasses! (The other counties it would be in, same farm, passed the proposal already)

WTF is wrong with these idiots? It was a 10 year abatement that would actually increase revenues from the land over what it is currently generating.

Whatta joke! Instead we have to continue paying city utility rates that are inflated as hell! (Not to mention polluting the environment!

Isn't it a wonder as hard up as Madison county is for jobs, money comes first.  A company want to spend it's money on something that is great, like a wind farm to produce low cost electricity, on farm ground which is hardly paying no taxes.

It sure sound stupid to me to Deni it and I'm no rocket scientist.  Another case of someone in politics who doesn't know his (*) from a whole in the ground.

Bye the way, Thanks Palehorse for the little sign.  (*) It will come in handy when I talk to Henery, Squawk and "ME". (  :  )

Read the above story surrounding the fact that EPA regulations are going to put the clamps on those states that are polluting the environment via power generating stations powered by coal. (IND is #6 on the list so it's going to bitch slap us via rate hikes).

And here in Madison county, our "wonderful and wise" leadership vote AGAINST a green source for electricity generation? WTF?!
