Title: Anyone know. . .
Post by: Palehorse on March 18, 2011, 08:33:54 PM
. . . the location of the obvious firing range (outdoor) located somewhere south/southeast of the intersection of Scatterfield Road and 67th street? IS it a public range? What is the name of it? If it is members only what is the procedure for joining?? (I've drove all over the area I believe the fire is coming from but have not been able to locate the source.

I'm looking for a firing range that will allow long gun and handgun live firing outdoors, that is relatively close. I've been listening to the year round fire from wherever this place is for almost 4 years now, and I want some practice time and sighting time for a couple of carbines I've picked up but have yet to fire. . .

It may be the Fall Creek Conservation Club. I think if you go past the old Fall Creek school going south cross fall creek and it is probably the next road to the right and it would also be on your right. There should be a sign there. It is next to the old Gilmore cemetery.

There used to be a sign as you headed east out of New Columbus (aka Ovid) as well.

Google in:  rifle pistol ranges in  Anderson, Indiana --  Pendleton, Indiana -  Elwood, Indiana - Fortville, Indiana and Indianapolis, Indiana.

It will bring up a whole bunch of ranges.  Good shooting.
