Title: Run for the hills!!!
Post by: Nighthawk on March 17, 2011, 02:42:10 PM
This weekend the Moon will be at its closest to earth in 18 years. Look on Saturday night and the Moon should look a bit bigger and brighter than normal.

Of course, events like these cause the Moonbats, pun intended, to come out of the woodwork with doomsday theories.

We are going to see earthquakes, volcano eruptions, Moon quakes or any number of other natural disasters.

So, grab the kids, the pets, and some food and head for the nearest cave!!!!

Well...... come to think of it there is probably no real safe place so just grab a beer, a lawn chair and sit in the back yard and enjoy the ride!  :end:

Should we make sure the lawn chairs are equipped with seat belts?

I plan on heading over to the beach to watch.  Maybe I'll take my camera and post some pictures.

I like the beer and lawnchair idea. In fact, I think that's the appropriate response for a great deal of things.

Seriously, I can't wait to see how it looks on the water.

Well, a relaxing evening in a lawn chair and a 6 pack later and no earthquake, volcano or flood.  >:(

Oh well, maybe December of 2012 will be more exciting.

Here is a picture of it rising down here in South Florida.  This is the super moon rising over Pompano Beach, FL.
