From my point of view, there wasn't to much good music in 1969.  None on the list anyway.

And, in your opinion, an example of good music would be?

Not that crap.  Bad music is like porn.  Once you see you know it.

I became more of a fan after I read about Jim Morrison. I really like the bluesy stuff and not the over-played radio top three or four.

There may be one or two I kind of like but that's it.  Of course I do get even with Janis and Ottis Redding..... :icon_twisted:   I have everything they ever done including some out of print stuff.

Very cool!

I think that I could listen to music with you or your husband. I like both of those artists. Janis is anotherone that some people don't give a chance because they've been turned off by "Mercedes Benz" since it's the only song the radio plays.

I have to be in the mood for Janis, and I am frequently NOT in the mood for her. Her singing strikes my ears as screeching more often than not. . . And if there is one thing I cannot stand and have a VERY low tolerance level of, it is a screeching woman. . . It makes me want to rip someone's head off. . .  :spooked:

One of my late friends used to have a main squeeze we (the guys in our "club") called "Lillian the Reptilian". She sounded like Janis when she was speaking normally. . . Needless to say I didn't stick around very long when she was on the scene. . .

She done a song called A Woman Left Lonely that I have listened to over and over, especially while sleeping at night, and she does screech some in it but I don't even hear that 'cause I'm so focused on what the keyboard and bass are doing.  It absolutely has me in a trance.  PH if you can disconnect yourself from her vocals you might want to give it a listen sometime.
