Title: Happy Thanksgiving!
Post by: Sandy Eggo on November 22, 2010, 01:17:25 PM
:hellur:

I know I'm a little early, but I'm super excited this year. For the first time in years, I'll be hosting a big family Thanksgiving dinner. I've got the menu all planned out, but I keep changing it ;D so who knows what we'll end up with. The bright side is that whatever loses out on Thursday will certainly show up on Christmas because my fridge, freezer and cabinets are packed from my indecision.

Although I have a few list toppers, I have a VERY long list of things to be thankful for. My Zone friends are on that list and have been for the past...how many years ...I'm sorry, I can't recall, but I am thankful that we've had the opportunity to "meet" and you've all become a very important part of my days.

I hope that all of you have a very wonderful Thanksgiving! :ohyeah:

Aww. . . . thanks Sandy and the very same right back at cha!  :smitten: :smitten:

Despite its challenges, I am thankful for a number of things this year; most of which I will keep private for the time being. . .

But my Unknown Zone friends are also on my list as usual!

Happy turkey day everybody!  :thanks: :turkday: :fam: :grim: :mag:

Same to you FTW my friend!

This year we are NOT hosting the event, again. . . :'(

My father-in-law is very fond of smelling turkey roasting all day long, and despite our efforts to persuade him to come stay the night at the stall, he is insisting on having it at his place. So, "over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go", it is. But that's okay too. My wife and I are going over there EARLY on turkey day, at grandma's request.  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Then we are invited to a very close friends home for dinner II that evening. . .

I may find myself roasting a turkey breast on Black Friday, just so we have some "leftovers" to eat the rest of the weekend!

You too, FTW!

I just realized that I put this in unmoderated. I swear it wasn't on purpose. I'm hoping there isn't too much that we could do w/a Thanksgiving greeting so that it would need to be here.

My Thanksgiving day will be very different.  I am going with the BF's family to a restaurant for lunch.  We will then head to the lake house and spend the weekend making Brunswick Stew.  I don't see lots of turkey in my future unless I make one.  I will probably do what Pale is doing and roast a breast just for me!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Happy Thanksgiving Kimmi!

Did you see the latest Harry Potter movie yet?

I told my daughter that I wanted to stay up late and go to the premiere and she said, "why?" ;D I said, "For the same reason we stayed up late so that you could go to the 'Twilight' premiere." She scrunched up her face and said, "Mom, there aren't any hot guys in Harry Potter". ;D

Actually I haven't.  I am having Chris watch all of them in order and then we are going to the Imax to see it!  I can't wait!

Better late than never! It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday with your family.

I'm determined to use all of the leftovers this year. We had dinner for 8 people and most of the 8 had two servings. All of them took food to go and I still have a ton of stuff in my fridge. I didn't realize that I had cooked so much food.

I'm on strike too. Pizza tonight.
