Four Loko and several other energy drinks containing alcohol have been banned in several states (if not all). The reason cited is "(it is) the FDA's position that mixing alcohol and stimulants, such as caffeine, into one drink has not been proven to be generally regarded as safe."
Adult beverages have been mixed with caffeinated beverages for years! Cola, coffee, energy drinks, all of them. Perhaps the problem is they're targeting the "econo-buzz" age group. If that's the case, they should have banned Boone's farm years ago.
I don't know what I think about this drink being banned. It won't affect me personally, but I'm talking more-or-less about the big picture. Does it even matter? Probably not, but what do you think?

Banned for the Do Gooders. A feel good law, nothing else. After we closed a bar we went to get something to eat and drink strong coffee.
