I really don't know if anyone at the assessors office in the city of Anderson knows what they are doing!
We got the spring tax bill for the old house and paid it on time and in the amount it said we owed.
NOW we get the fall installment and it is 400 dollars LESS than what it said it was supposed to be in the spring of this very same year!
Mind you, I'm not complaining about it being less, except for the fact I already have the bill for the fall installment and it is 400 dollars more than the friggin bill they just sent me in the mail!!!
Which one is right and how the hell do I know it??? If I pay the least amount one and it is wrong, they are going to show me delinquent and try to sell my property out from under me in a tax sale next year. If I pay too much do you think I'll get that back? (LMFAO)
So. . . once again at tax time I have to go to the damned assessors office and watch them muddle through the FUBAR records for an hour or two, just so I know what amount to pay!!!!
:@#%&: :dam: When the heck are they going to get things straight around this town??????
If you pay too much it will be credited to next spring's installment, but what I don't know is why you got a second bill this fall. We have never gotten a bill in the fall, just the one in the spring with two sections. Who knows what they are doing. In the paper this morning they said the reason they haven't had a tax sale for four years is because of the state being so slow sending them the tax rates? Why would that keep you from having a tax sale for four years, one maybe, but not four.
I think they've got their heads up their rear ends myself.
We got the spring bill with the two portions, spring and fall installments. But today we got another bill showing a lower fall installment . . .
They are all jacked up. . .
You are probably right. They certainly aren't the most efficient people around.
Unbelievable!
Our tax bills have the lions share of the proceeds going to schools, and these idiots want to put a referendum in front of us to add on a special "7 year assessment" of 55 cents for every 100 dollars of assessed valuation, and tuition on top of that? HELL NO! That'd jack my taxes up by 1500 dollars a year!!!!!!!!

And just think Reagan told us the the trickle down theory would work, tax cut to the super rich would create jobs. Hell, we didn't even need to manufacture anything. All we need was a large work force of super brain college educated people to create service jobs. Over sea companies would get all of the dirty, hard, unsafe, low paid, boring, slave jobs.
So the super rich Republican predatory capitalist with tax breaks to move our jobs out of the country and the loss of over 89 million jobs. All of the unfair and bad trade treaties, NAFTA and so on, you can be an idiot and see what happened to this country. And Hawk says, America has spoken, and the dumbasses has sent the Republican back in to complete the job of destroying America. Just hang on people, it's coming, just wait till the start of next year and watch the Republicans in action.
