Post by: Palehorse on July 14, 2010, 06:34:24 PM
This one is up for auction after failing to sell at the bargain rate of 9.9 million dollars! (Last appraised value was 30 million).

7 bedrooms, 12 baths, sports building with full BB court, pool house, on just over 30 acres, and so much more! Take the virtual tour, but put a bib on before you do!

What do you want to sell you house for now, Palehorse.  I thought you liked Carmel.  Beside the housing bubble is over and the price will go back up.

If I had the green to buy that, I'd be investing in firearms, wooded acres, and enough razor wire to stretch across this nation 5 or 6 times with which to enclose it all. . . The rest, I'd hoard until I am either fertilizer or the last one standing. . .

Tell you what, someone here buy it and I'll rent the pool house from you.

Honestly, I think I might make some furniture changes in a couple of the rooms to make it more comfortable, but I could see myself living in the sunroom, atrium, kitchen, library and my master closet. ;D

No kidding!  I'd probably have to have a location device imbedded in my skin so that I don't get lost!

Real estate taxes on those digs? $100,000.00 / yr!  :spooked:

The BB court has to go though. In fact, I'd get rid of it and install a hockey rink instead!  8)

Can you imagine how much work it would take just to mow and keep up the grounds?!

Nope. The United Center! Home of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, and the lowly Chicago Bulls.

Hey! With that house, I bet you could entice MJ over for a pick up game or better yet Indiana boy...Larry Bird!

Naw. . . I wear the wrong underwear for MJ, and I absolutely detest BB! (If I am not mistaken I believe Bird has a home not too far from that location, as do a few Colts). I could convert it to a floor hockey facility though. . . And leave the nets up for visitors to give themselves a heart attack with!  :icon_twisted: ( I am CPR and AED certified). . .

Oh a new fun drunk game .... ice basketball

I hope you have extra splints on hand too. ;D

Maybe Larry likes to dance  MJ might, but I'm not a fan.

Hey, you've got to add a bowling alley for Mrs. Horse.

Aww, I just got a mental picture of your puppy wearing himself out on 33 acres! Talk about a happy dog! You'd have to get a few more.

Palehorse, your talking about how much work it would to take to keep it up.  Is about like when I started flying.  One day a older man flew his Cessna 195 into the Ace airport.  Even took me and my buddy for a ride and let me have the controls.

Now a Cessna 195 has a 7 cylinder radial engine with I think it had around 300 hp.  I had been looking to get in to owning a part of an airplane and I asked how much this 195 would cost.

He said, Son, buying a plane with a round engine, if you have to ask the price of it, you can't afford it.  Another dream broken.

Well, this place finally sold and the new owner(s) were announced today. None other than Forrest Lucas (Lucas Oil Stadium and Lucas Oil) and his family are set to move in and start their lives. . .

I heard the Feds were selling Plum Island. The small island where they research deadly diseases, supposedly animal diseases. It has a huge facility including a water tower. The folks that watch movies might remember this was the place they were thinking of sending Hannibal Lecter. Being the loner that I am, I would be quite content living on a remote island as long as I had Internet access.
