Supposedly a stockmarket trader selling 1 million shares hit the wrong key and hit the 1 billion sell key. All of the failsafe computer programs seen the large 1 billion sale and they all sold their owners stocks, automatically with out human intervention. Just like the oil valve in the Gulf.
Over 66% of the sales in the stock market are on the fast track, selling Millions of shares each minute. Way, way to fast. Nobody can keep up with it.
The landslide drop in stock prices the DJ's lost 988 points. Causing Proctor Gamble stock to go from $60 per share to $39 in less that a minute. Supposedly the market recovered before the day was over. I lost over $5000 of my retirement fund, in that 30 minutes and my stocks have not recovered the $5000 I lost. Has some thief got my money.
What kind of a Wallstreet stockmarket have we got, since Republican Senator Phil Gramm slipped in a law that deregulated Wallstreet stock market and the banks.
Really there is no Safe place to put your money. Do we have to go through what my great grandmother went through in the depression. Put what little money she had in her mattress because she didn't trust her bank in Anderson.
